About the Boston HBCU Diversity in Design Summit
The Boston HBCU Diversity in Design Summit is a collaborative initiative between Detroit HBCU, PLC Detroit, the Black Footwear Forum (BFF), and NCF. The summit will feature a series of panel discussions with Black creative professionals, alongside a full-day design workshop for Boston-area high school students, highlighting pathways into diverse design careers.
Hosted by NCF from April 24–26, 2026, the summit will include PLC Detroit President Dr. D’Wayne Edwards, BFF co-founder, and Denise Korn, Co-Executive Director of Diversity in Design (DID). They will be joined by Black professionals representing leading brands including Converse, New Balance, Puma, Reebok, Saucony, and Timberland.
