Meet Dr Helena Hakweenda, lecturer at the Namibia Business School.
Dr Hakweenda earned her doctorate in 2020 with thesis title: The Impact of Executive Compensation on Organisational Performance in Namibia’s Commercial Public Enterprises, strengthening her expertise in Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship.
With over 10 years of combined academic and industry experience, she specialises in business education, curriculum design, and postgraduate supervision. She has supervised over 100 undergraduate research projects, MBA dissertations, and co-supervised PhD theses.
As a certified Human Resource Organisational Development Practitioner and Compensation and Benefits Professional, Dr Hakweenda’s expertise spans talent management, executive compensation, performance management, and public-sector HR policy reform.
Dr Hakweenda currently coordinates the Health Management, Entrepreneurship, and Information Management and Digital Intelligence specialisations within the MBA programme, helping prepare future leaders for evolving industry demands.

Meet Dr Marius Johannes, Lecturer at the Namibia Business School.
Dr Johannes has over a decade of experience in organisational development, focusing on improving team performance and supporting effective and sustainable business practices.
Since joining academia in 2022, his work has explored areas such as Design Thinking, Innovation Model Application, AI-driven therapy, and GRIT. His consulting work reflects an interest in how organisations adapt and perform in complex environments. This includes work on topics such as team dynamics, organisational strategy, and broader economic and governance challenges within developing markets.
Dr Johannes currently serves as Coordinator for the Finance, Management Strategy, Public Sector Management, and Natural Resources specialisations within the Master of Business Administration programme, where he contributes to preparing future leaders for evolving industry demands.
