🫙 MONTHLY CONTAINER COLLECTION 🫙
We are excited to announce that we will now be collecting containers for @brooklyncommunitykitchen on the first Sunday of each month!
Please bring clean containers with lids to the park when you drop-off your scraps.
Containers will be used for Brooklyn Community Kitchen's weekly food distribution, so please make sure they are in clean, usable condition and have matching lids 💚
Note: we are not collecting utensils at this time.
See you on Sunday!
💚 IT'S GOOD TO BE BACK 💚
Thank you to everyone who came out to McGolrick today to drop off scraps, smash pumpkins, and volunteer with us! It was great to see so many familiar faces and share in some moments of joy.
We couldn't do what we do without this community and today illustrated the power, importance, and resilience of that community.
Thank you for the warm welcome back.
See you next Sunday!
THANK YOU to our community for helping us raise $2,500 to support continued community care across North Brooklyn.
THANK YOU to everyone who shared their baking talent, time, and money to help keep our neighbors fed and supported. We’ve always been a group of neighbors helping neighbors, and Saturday was a beautiful reminder of exactly what that means.
& THANK YOU to @upstatestock.bk for generously lending us their space! More bake sales to come 👀
There are so many ways to support our work — check out the link in our bio to learn how to get involved. If you have an idea for an initiative or fundraiser, we’d love to hear from you!
As always, sustaining donors help keep this work going month to month. Consider making a monthly donation to support ongoing community care 💛
North Brooklyn Mutual Aid is hosting its very first bake sale next weekend! 🍪💐
Bring your mom for a Mother’s Day sweet treat, or treat yourself, because honestly, you deserve it.
Every purchase supports vital community efforts like free fridges, community gardens, compost programs, and ongoing mutual aid for neighbors in need. Come by, enjoy some delicious baked goods, and support a great cause!
Do you know any one with electric/fridge repair skills? 🛠️
🔥 The Cooper Park Fridge has been running hot and we’re looking for someone who can volunteer their time pro bono or sliding scale to check in. 🔥
Help us spread the word by sharing or donate to support repair costs 💚
