Today I revisited a place I once called home and realized that memories have their own geography.
*
I first visited Brockville in 2014 with my mom on our way back to Montreal from Toronto. We walked by the waterfront and had ice cream, never imagining that three years later I would move there for work and call it home for almost four years.
*
I arrived knowing no one, but over time I built a life there â friends, routines, memories. During the COVID times, the waterfront and trails kept me sane.
*
Today, exactly 12 years later, I brought my mom back to the city again, but this time as someone who once belonged there. I showed her my old workplace, the neighbourhood I lived in, and the little places that quietly became part of my story.
*
It all felt familiar, yet different at the same time.
Life is strange that way.

To awaken quite alone in a strange town is one of the most pleasant sensations in the world.
*
Travel is beautiful, but nobody talks about the exhaustion â the jet lag, the overstimulation, the constant moving, the âlooking presentable,â the stomach acting up in a new country, and trying to enjoy it all while running on a couple hours of sleep. We romanticize travel, but sometimes itâs just being tired in a beautiful place.
*
Here I am standing in front of an iconic architecture after only a few hours of sleep, battling jet lag, slightly hungry, slightly delirious, but still pretending to be effortlessly enjoying the architecture. Do you feel the same when you travel?

Swiss Alps, wooden cabins, and a slower kind of magic.
*
Places like this make me realize why I love traveling so much. Not for checklists or photos, but for the feeling of stepping into a completely different world â quieter, simpler, softer. Surrounded by the Alps, I felt wonderfully small in the best possible way.

Sunday mood: rest, reset, and receive blessings â¨

Thereâs something quietly powerful about this churchâstanding timeless beneath the watch of Rapperswil Castle. Overlooking Lake Zurich, this place isnât just about viewsâitâs about peace, reflection, and history woven into every detail.
*
Sometimes, travel isnât about rushing to the next spot⌠itâs about pausing in places like this.

Lost in the Swiss Alps.
*
For years, I avoided traveling to Switzerland, put off by the surge of tourists inspired by Bollywood films. But last year, when I found myself just an hour from the SwissâItalian border, I couldn't resist.
*
I decided to take a day trip into the Swiss Alps from Zurich. What I had planned as a simple day trip quickly turned into an unforgettable experience.
*
By the time I left, I realized that the Swiss Alps arenât just a destinationâtheyâre something you feel, something that stays with you long after youâve gone. Iâm already dreaming of my return.

Out there making questionable decisions and unforgettable memories.

That time we rode a trishaw with a driver who was drunk and high â but somehow, it was so much fun.

Early mornings are the travelerâs secret: fewer crowds, better light, and a sense that the day belongs entirely to you.
*
We woke up early, before dawn, to beat the heat and the crowds, and had so much fun exploring the city on our own without any other tourists. And, sometimes, itâs completely worth the early start.

Perched high in the Titiwangsa Mountains, Genting Highlands is often called the âCity of Entertainmentâ. Just an hourâs drive from Kuala Lumpur, this cool-climate hill station offers a refreshing escape from the tropical heat below, blending nature, luxury, and nonstop entertainment.

George Town is such a fun place to explore. Iâve been wanting to visit Penang for a while, so it felt extra special finally finding some of its iconic murals, that too at night, when the streets were quiet.

In the hush of early light, even the grandest places feel like they belong only to you.
*
On my first morning in Milan, I set out early for the Piazza del Duomo. With the city in the midst of the Christmas holidays, I was hoping for a quiet moment aloneâand I got exactly that.
