(Still can’t watch this movie without full body sobbing) But even more so, every single person involved with this film deserves every second of the love that’s about to come their way. Especially our guy Blitz. From a kid in Ghana that liked to tell stories, to hustling his mixtapes in NY, to the damn Academy Museum Premiere. You can’t write this stuff, and I really don’t have the words that speak to how mind-blowing this journey has been. It’s about to be a purple Christmas. Alright who’s seen the work of magic that is BLACK IS KING?? Lion King was my absolute favorite Disney movie as a kid. I’m talking Simba bedspread and Timon and Pumba cereal bowls. To be able to see the mythology behind that narrative from its true African origins with the spectacle of what these amazing filmmakers created was all time! Love that the young kings and queens of today get to experience this vision. So hyped. Props to the queen B and ofcourse the mastermind @blitzambassador 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
