And just like that, my first week at the shop is over! Honestly, I’ve had THE BEST TIME ❤️ It’s so nice to have a classroom again, I’ve missed it so much since leaving the teaching profession just over a year ago. What a journey it’s been so far! Every single person that’s walked through these doors has been so supportive and kind, I am truly grateful for all the positivity ❤️ Roll on week 2 👀 Lots of love, Carly xxx

Sharing a moment from yesterday’s workshop! Here I am demonstrating how to cover a lantern – a rare chance to be caught on camera while teaching ❤️ Huge thanks to @alice_marie_artist for capturing this 🍃

🍓🥑 Beautiful work from the lovely Sarah and Beth, who joined my ‘Freshly Pressed’ lino-printing workshop back in the summertime! They learned how to transfer their fruit designs onto lino, carve safely and confidently, and bring their prints to life using the @pookipresses . We even experimented with printing onto pre-prepared coloured backgrounds to give their designs an extra pop of colour, the results were just gorgeous!

The final session @mental_health_matters_wales saw everyone putting the finishing touches to their beautiful Under the Sea pieces! 🌊🐚 We explored a range of materials including colouring pencil, ExpandIT and dyes, which helped create such vibrant and expressive outcomes. It’s been wonderful to see everyone’s ideas grow over the sessions and come together in these super vivid final artworks. A big thank you to John, Tom and Kiara for their support throughout the workshop, and well done to everyone who took part in Breathing Space Ignite, provided by @tanio_cymru . You should all feel really proud of what you’ve created 💙

Another mindful session I loved delivering as part of my Visiting Artist role with @tanio_cymru at @pontymuseum 🌿 This time the group created their own paintbrushes using natural materials before experimenting with Indian ink to make expressive, intuitive marks. I loved seeing how fearless everyone was; scratching, tapping, layering and even rotating the paper to build energetic patterns! We also explored collage by adding words and transferring book pages using sellotape, which brought a really beautiful sense of storytelling to the work. A huge thank you to Hannah @growingspacepontypridd and Beth for supporting the session 💚 and a little shout-out to @annabilles for getting involved! These final pieces were later displayed as a drop-down concertina book as part of our end-of-year exhibition which was such a lovely way to celebrate everyone’s creativity 🌿

Robin’s arty party was a glitter-filled celebration to say the least! ✨ These gorgeous girlies created their own beautiful flower crowns while celebrating their friend’s 6th birthday at Llangynwyd Village Hall. A huge thank you to Jamie for inviting me to be part of such a special afternoon, I’m so grateful! 🌸👑 If you would like me to run an arty party for your little one, please get in touch!

Here are Plasnewydd Primary School pupils crafting their beautiful willow lanterns for the FoMWP Winter Lights Festival ✨ Although the event was cancelled last year, the joy and creativity on this day were unforgettable. The room was full of energy, laughter, and glowing ideas — and it was such a special moment returning to my old primary school ❤️

We made Christmas trees!🎄 Last week’s carers session with @tanio_cymru was such a joy; everyone brought their own style to decorating their trees, and the room felt calm, mindful, and wonderfully festive. We used soft yarn from @stitchesandsprinklesmaesteg , cosy colours, and lots of creative play 🧶✨
