For our May installment we’re elated to welcome a rapidly rising star in Chicago’s club circuit @heyvirago ! Making a name in a busy city of dance music is no easy task but her deep reverence for club culture and cunty bravado has caught the attention of dancefloors, listeners, and parties around the Midwest and we had to have her out for a dance! 👠
Expect a feral, genre-blending set of tribal, tech-y house and rave energies and keep your eyes and ears out for her sensational rise as a club technician and dancefloor curator ✨
On opening duties we have a special sendoff set from JAMS co-founder @dj_zip_disk_official (making his westward journey this summer) and our original partyboy architect @natural.language.processing ! This warm up set is guaranteed to be as silly as it is sentimental and we can’t wait to see what sizzling surprises the boys have in store for the floor. Come early and stay late! 🪩

We received some messages this morning about creepy and inappropriate behavior at our last party and as promoters we have a responsibility to give a few reminders:
1) JAMS is a party of peace, love, and healing
2) We work to make our parties and dancefloor a fun, joyful, and medicinal place
3) To dance and celebrate with full expression, people must feel safe AT ALL TIMES
4) Consent is always non-negotiable and JAMS has zero tolerance for harassment
5) Please notify any JAMS or Cardinal Staff if you feel uncomfortable at any time
6) We will permanently ban any who cannot follow these principles from our party and/or the Cardinal
7) We keep us safe: please help report any inappropriate behavior and know we trust you
8) Thank you to everyone who makes our dancefloor a more fun and safe place - you are the medicine!
9) We always welcome your ideas for making the party safer and more fun!

Massive thanks to @conflictbureau for bringing his signature house concoction of crushed drum loops and filthy funk! We were transfixed at the slowed down jak and the floor couldn’t get enough!! Track after track of dirty drums and mystifying acid loops rinsed us all clean 🫧
On support our room was lit ablaze by an all star opening of break-y beats and sirened synths from @greyhoundgreyhound and @natural.language.processing - a night of bliss for dark dance lovers craving energetic release! ⚡️

Björk & I are very fired up to announce that I’ll be heading back to the state capital for @msn.jams to open for the homie @conflictbureau alongside my favorite distance runner @natural.language.processing 😍 see u there😈😈😈
In a few short weeks I return to Madison to lay down a barrage of jak. @msn.jams is such a beautiful things that exists in Madison and has been a bit of a bucket list party since I’ve become closer to some of the people behind it. Real! Community! DANCING! And with @greyhoundgreyhound and @natural.language.processing on opening duties?!? With @goodheavensitspaul@warmnfuzzzzy with backup sound? No doubt this will be a spiral!
