Making art is my practice for staying connected to nature and embracing the seasons of life. What started as a simple need to create with my hands slowly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. I began sharing my work hoping to maybe cover the cost of materials, and instead I found connection, encouragement, and people who truly see what I’m trying to express. That support changed everything. Building this path hasn’t been fast or perfect, but it’s been honest. Piece by piece, season by season, I now find myself living a daily life I once only dreamed of. I’m so grateful to keep growing, exploring, and sharing this journey with you. Thank you for being here ◡̈

Take a peek at my process for creating botanical blueprints 💙 It all starts with fresh flowers, carefully arranged on light sensitive paper and then exposed in sunlight. Once rinsed with water, the Prussian blue pigment develops and the botanical silhouettes are revealed. The combination of art and science feels like magic every time ✨

A little sneak peek of some favorite parts of this new collab piece! I’m weaving with gorgeous handtorn cyanotype printed fabrics, created by my dear friend @natjoydesign . These sun-printed blues are a dream to work with, and I love the nuanced details dyed + stitched on the cotton ribbons. Can’t wait to share the finished work soon!

It all starts with a bit of chemistry 🧪 Every piece I create starts with combining these chemicals into a light sensitive emulsion. Once exposed to UV light (or sunlight) it transforms into the pigment Prussian Blue. Shoutout to @jacquardproducts for providing the best supplies for #cyanotype 💙 If you’re interested in learning more about the process, I’ll be teaching a couple public workshops this summer! #botanicalblueprints #sonomacountyartist

I offer prints because I believe collecting art is for everyone 🩵 If you connect with my work, I don’t want money to be a barrier. I’m grateful for everyone who connects with my artwork and I personally have a collection of art that is a mix of originals with some prints. Prints also offer flexibility in sizing! I have a range of sizes available online (from 8x10in up to 24x36in) and custom requests are always welcome 🤗 There are 20 designs available in my print shop and the collection keeps growing 🌱 #artprints #botanicalart #natureinspiredart

Do it anyway. I felt a huge shift in my art practice when I stopped waiting to be in the mood and decided to do it anyway. Sometimes it makes me feel better. Sometimes it doesn’t. But every time, I show up and that’s what counts. No perfect mood. No perfect moment. Just consistency and trusting in the process. Because the truth is that the work only meets me when I meet it first. So I show up and I do it anyway 💙

This might be my favorite comment I’ve received about my art 🩵 At my last art fair, a guest was admiring this piece and when I came over to say hello they immediately said, “Your art feels like a breath of fresh air”. It made me realize that is exactly how I feel while creating my art. Getting inspired by nature and creating work with living materials brings me the same relief as going out into the natural landscape and taking a deep breath. I’m so glad the feeling translated for that viewer and I hope more people connect with my work in that same way. Do you get that same feeling?

April was full of rain & flowers and learning to embrace both is what it’s all about 🩵 I shipped my art up to Alaska and even though I’ve never been to the state, now it feels like a piece of my heart is up there. I got to enjoy some wine country adventures with my love; visiting Pond Farm Pottery in the redwoods, biking through vineyards, and taking a deep breath at the coast. Can you believe tomorrow is the start of May? Is this year flying by faster than ever? And who else has Noah Kahan’s new album on repeat?

Turning fleeting moments into something you can hold onto forever 🩵 This was a very special commission, turning a wedding bouquet into original art. Using cyanotype, I captured the delicate beauty of the fresh flowers to preserve the bouquet in a way that will last far beyond the day itself. I love collaborating with collectors to bring their vision to life, and I was so honored that she trusted me with her bouquet. I hope every time they look at their new artwork it brings them right back to their special day 🩵 #artcommission #customart #creativeprocess
