Three years ago, we said goodbye to our beloved mum, Gaze, who lived a remarkable life and departed this world at the age of 97. Today, she would have turned 100. A full century of life — a milestone that would have been such a beautiful celebration of the strength, wisdom, and love she poured into all of us. Even though she is no longer physically here, her presence continues to live in our memories, our values, and in the quiet lessons she left behind. Mum was more than a mother; she was a guiding light, a pillar of grace, and a source of unconditional love. Her life was a testament to resilience, faith, and kindness. Those who knew her were touched by her warmth, her quiet strength, and the dignity with which she lived every single day. Reaching 97 years was itself a blessing, but the truth is that the impact of her life cannot be measured by years alone. It lives on in the lives she nurtured, the family she held together, and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Today, on what would have been her 100th birthday, we remember her with deep gratitude, with tender hearts, and with the comforting knowledge that a life well lived never truly fades. Gaze, you are deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated. Happy 100th birthday and Happy Mother’s Day in heaven.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme “Give to Gain”, reflects a simple principle: progress expands when we intentionally invest in opportunity and capability. Across the CapitalSage Technology ecosystem, several initiatives continue to support women’s advancement in business, finance, and entrepreneurship. Through @regius_assetmanagementlimited in partnership with the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Lagos, we hosted a webinar on wealth building for professionals alongside a practical investment guide for women. @kolomoni_ng HerWealth banking proposition supports women with higher-yield savings and access to financial knowledge, while @kolomoni_gambia is extending low-interest loans to women in business. @credit_assist_ Investment is improving access to capital for women in agriculture, and @ercas_hq continues to support female entrepreneurs through mentorship and strong business networks. When women gain access to capital, knowledge, and networks, the impact extends far beyond individuals. Progress grows through deliberate participation. #InternationalWomensDay #GiveToGain #WomenInBusiness #FinancialInclusion #capitalsagetechnology

Clarity is a competitive advantage in leadership. In complex organisations, failure rarely comes from lack of talent — it comes from lack of clarity. Unclear mandates create duplication. Unclear accountability creates friction. Unclear strategy drains energy. Strong institutions define what they’re building, why it matters, and who owns what. Because when clarity rises, execution sharpens. And when execution sharpens, confidence compounds. In the long run, the institutions that endure are not the loudest. They are the clearest.

Scale is not driven by ambition alone. It is driven by design. Africa’s financial services landscape is rich with opportunity, yet, opportunity rarely determines success, structure does. Institutions that endure are grounded in governance, disciplined risk management, scalable technology, and consistent execution. While technology has accelerated growth. It has not simplified it. Structure builds confidence. Confidence attracts investment. Investment creates long-term value. Africa’s opportunity is undeniable. The discipline to build it correctly is what truly matters.
