Watching my beautiful niece Sienna graduate from Parsons in New York was such a proud moment. 🎓✨ I’m so happy I was able to be there to witness this achievement and celebrate you in person. These are the moments that stay with us forever. ❤️❤️
Sienna, the world is wide open for you, and I know you’re going to step into it with talent, strength, style, and purpose. You worked so hard for this milestone, and I’m beyond proud of the woman and artist you are becoming.
Love you so much….Congratulations, graduate. Now go get everything the world has waiting for you. 🤍🗽✨

For those of you concerned about how and whom a potential tax hike might hurt, please 👀 and use your brain. Seems a worthwhile price to pay to regain our national dignity? #dumptrump #vote2020 #vote
The Harder They Come - Directed by Perry Henzell. A gorgeous little time capsule of early #70s #jamaica🇯🇲 just before #reggae music hit globally. #JimmyCliff stars in a rags to riches, rural to Urban, honest to crumble to #RobinHood figure. But the music stars. Sick score. Produced by Island Music legend Chris Blackwell. Great B Movie.
@bacuraufilme Bacurau - Directed by @kleber_mendonca_filho Of you’re going to watch this film (@kinolorber virtual cinema) just be okay not having any idea what’s going on until about the 45 minute mark. It pays off at the end, in a dark and violent way. #soniabraga and #udokier and @babicolen are just three of an amazing array of characters living in this small village in #brazil - is it #scifi or #apocalyptic or ... just enjoy it. At @festivaldecannes in 2018.
I, Daniel Blake - Directed by #kenloach A Geordie carpenter (#newcastle, pull up the #subtitles !!! ) loses his job after a heart attack and spends the rest of the film getting the run around from the various govt bodies set up to “help” people in his situation. Definitely not a happy film, but powerful and respectful of those having a tough time. Loach is an outspoken #socialist but this one is very anti-(inefficient)-government. It’s more enjoyable than all of this too. Small and sweet and sad.
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three - Directed by Joseph Sargent This is now one of my #top20films and belongs in the pantheon of great #70sfilms Walter Mathau is awesome. Jerry Stiller #RIP is perfect. And Robert Shaw who shot this after #TheSting and right before #Jaws is a quiet terrifying killer. How have I never seen this before? I miss #NewYork
The Boston Strangler - Directed by Joseph Sargent The girls and I listened to the podcast here which is a great accompaniment to this film. I’d suggest film first. Very cool structure to the film shifting POV midway through from the I investigators to the Strangler. From Henry Fonda to Tony Curtis. The film also focuses on the fear this spread through #Boston for women of all ages. #Film is great. #Podcast is as well.
Scattered (#podcast) - by @radtuna Chris Garcia A truly touching 6 episode story about a man learning the real story of his father before he and his mother travel to #Cuba to spread his ashes. I started this and didn’t stop... tears at the end. Well done.
Dog Day Afternoon - Directed by Sidney Lumet. One of my favorite films. One of my favorite directors. One of my favorite actors at the absolute peak of his powers. I had the pleasure of watching my 14 year old daughter watch and enjoy this. Themes of #media and #class and #anxiety and #poverty and #lgbtq keep this classic a masterpiece. A SUPER young and gorgeous Carol Kane supports.
Beyond the Visible - Directed by Halina Dyrschka If you’re into #abstract #art or think you know something about #kandinsky #mondrian and the other men of 20th Century Art watch this. An opportunity to completely change what you know. Hilma af Klint, pioneering female painter. According to this #documentary the art world is unwilling to credit this #swedish woman with her due credit. Amazing. Prolific.
