Ayo! Graphite on toned board, acrylic, and colored pencils. Had a great time drawing @thebearfx and talking shop on Drawing Hive with @johnenglishart @timmytrabon @cassandralkim . Check out Visual Arts Passage on youtube to catch the full episode! I took another hour after the pose on this one to work out some details while our past two presidents debated their golf games. Busy night. #illustration #drawing #portrait #portraitillustration #portraitart #mixedmediaart #thebear #ayoedebiri #yeschefhive

Excited to share my cover for One Global Game - 48 Countries, 48 Covers! @sportsillustrated commissioned artists from every country represented in the 2026 World Cup, and I was honored to be chosen to represent the USA. Swipe for process and a look at all 48 covers! With this piece, I chose to highlight Christian Pulisic, the USMNT’s star forward, shouldering the weight of a nation’s expectations on the world’s biggest stage. I aimed to capture the excitement of hosting matches on American soil as a potential source of unity and hope in an increasingly divided nation. The sky is illuminated with fireworks, referencing the United States’ semiquincentennial celebration this summer. Layered over Pulisic are a diverse cohort of flag-waving fans, inspired by the team’s red-and-white-striped kits, to show our country’s shared excitement in joining together to support the team. Digitally painted in photoshop. Special thanks to AD @skalocky for making this incredible project happen! #worldcup2026

Soccer is so much fun to play and watch. But it’s also THE sport that unites cultures, transcends borders, and connects the world. During World War I, amid the brutal fighting on the Western Front, soldiers from both sides observed a spontaneous ceasefire on Christmas day. They emerged from their trenches, battered and war-weary, set aside their weapons, and played soccer together. It’s called the World Cup because it’s truly the world’s sport. p. 28-29 from Lionel Messi’s World Cup Triumph, illustrated by @natesweitzer and published by @abramskids
