My biggest advice to anybody is to pick something you want to do and just see it through. It’s how you gain the confidence you need to take on opportunities that come along later. How did I go from an aspiring filmmaker to a successful studio owner? I simply made a film, then a film after that, and kept finishing what I start. When you finish what you start it legitimizes the feelings you have about yourself that you CAN be who you think you are.

Had the honor to be special guests at the Houston Rodeo last night as they played our “True to Texas” campaign for opening night. @gl_atx , @dennisquaid , the Lt. Governor and I got to hat drop on the dirt after they played the commercial, very special night for Texas film to be highlighted so prominently on such a large stage!

We shot all of Treasure Imagination in just 2 production days. Full movie link in bio. You can see in this BTS video the entire process. ICVFX got popular with sci-fi films and fantastical worlds that don’t exist, but what about city streets that require permits? What about caves that are impossible to access with your crew and gear? What about a rainforest in the middle of nowhere? These are practical real locations that filmmakers want to reach for so many projects. That’s why @scottricedirector and the team at @bynarwhalstudios created the worlds of Treasure Imagination. Produced and filmed at Stray Vista Studios, we think this film shows off the best of our industry.
We just released a new film! Link in bio. Out of everything I’ve done in my career so far, this movie is my favorite and what I’m most proud of. The team we assembled here was one of a kind! I really look up to people like Walt Disney, George Lucas, and James Cameron and I try to take what wisdom I can from their stories. What I’ve gathered is that you have to work hard, harder than anyone, you have to push through the absolute terror and train wreck that is innovation and entrepreneurship. You have to surround yourself with people more talented than you, people who you believe in, people who you can’t imagine letting you down. You have to give them the right tools to succeed and I don’t just mean physical tools. And you have to be ready to take risks, big risks. I’ve taken some big risks in my life and one of the biggest in my career was turning this little “workshop” “come watch us shoot a scene” into a Hollywood level budget and production movie. It’s paid off in the long run, and now you get to see it.
