Hi, I’m Natalie.
If you’re new here, welcome! This is the story behind everything I’ve built.
I spent years in corporate, tried multiple side businesses, burnt myself out, ignored every signal my body was sending… until it all caught up with me.
Healing my nervous system changed my entire life and became the foundation of @somawithin .
Now I teach women the tools I wish I had when I was struggling.
Wherever you are on your journey, keep going. It won’t always be linear but it will lead you exactly where you’re meant to be.
I used to think healing meant fixing everything that felt wrong.
I pushed harder. Ate less. Trained more.
But no matter what I tried, my body still felt bloated, wired, disconnected.
What changed everything wasn’t another protocol..
it was learning how to feel safe in my body again.
Nervous system work gave me a soft place to land.
It helped me come home to myself.
This is the before & after that matters most.
Not just in my body but in how I live, breathe, and feel every day.
If any part of my story feels familiar, I see you.
You’re not broken. Your body is just asking for safety. And it’s never too late to learn how to give it that.
That’s why I created @somawithin to help others find their way back home, too.
For the last 10 years, I’ve been working in corporate marketing.
But truthfully? It never felt like me. I always knew that wasn’t where I was meant to stay.
I’ve had this fire in me for as long as I can remember… to create, to build something meaningful in a way I never knew how to growing up.
So I tried—again and again.
An eCommerce brand.
A catering business.
Four other ventures I poured months into, but never launched.
And now… SOMA.
The thing I never planned for but had been preparing for all along.
SOMA wasn’t born from strategy. It was born from my own struggles.
About 1.5 years ago, my body started screaming at me in ways I couldn’t ignore:
– Chronic bloating
– Weight gain
– Cystic acne
– Hair loss
– Hormonal chaos
– Fatigue that felt like burnout in my bones
I spent over $20,000 trying to fix myself—specialists, tests, supplements, protocols. I had an inner knowing that the traditional doctor route wasn’t the answer, so I turned to holistic doctors, naturopaths, natural remedies, acupuncture, meditation, journaling…
Some things helped. But nothing stuck.
Because here’s the truth:
If your nervous system is dysregulated and your body doesn’t feel safe, no protocol will fully work.
During that time, I started lying on my living room floor every night. Legs up the wall. Rocking, stretching, moving, breathing—just moving intuitively trying to get relief from the bloating and pressure.
And then something clicked.
For the first time, I wasn’t fighting my body.
I was listening to it.
That moment led me to somatics.
To nervous system regulation.
To a level of healing I never knew existed.
Today, I’m a certified Somatic & Nervous System Coach and for the first time in my life, I feel like I’ve found my true passion.
SOMA is the space I wish existed in my 20s.
A place for women to:
– Reconnect to their bodies
– Release the trauma they never knew they were carrying
– Regulate their nervous systems
– And finally feel safe again
This isn’t just a business.
It’s my story.
Follow @somawithin to start your journey.
We’re just getting started.

What an epic morning with the @endless.uae community at the @artemuseum_dubai .
Teaching a room full of high-achieving women about nervous system regulation & somatic healing in one of the most immersive spaces in Dubai.
We slowed down, got grounded, and explored how we hold onto emotions, feelings, and life’s pressures in our bodies and what it looks like to actually let that go.
Experiences like this fill my cup. Being able to share this work and watch women feel the power of it in real time, that’s why I do what I do.
Thank you to @rosiegunn & the @endless.uae team for having me. A slower morning spent learning, connecting and taking a moment away from the usual rush.

1. Your body doesn’t hold onto belly fat because you’re not trying hard enough. I tried everything. Every diet, every workout plan, every supplement. Your body holds onto fat when it thinks it’s under threat. It’s not stubborn, it’s protecting you.
2. Eating less and moving more made it worse. I cut calories, added more cardio, more discipline, more control. My body held on tighter. Because restriction signals danger. The shift came when I stopped fighting my body and started listening to what it actually needed.
3. Not one person in a decade of trying to lose weight ever mentioned my nervous system. Not the nutritionist, not the holistic dr, not the GP, not the naturopath. No one told me that cortisol stores fat around your midsection. That stress makes your body hold onto every calorie. I had to find it by accident.
4. Your body doesn’t need a better diet, it needs to feel safe. I ate perfectly, tracked macros, meal prepped, did everything “right.” And the weight wouldn’t budge because my body didn’t need more restriction. It needed to stop surviving.
5. The thing that finally shifted my weight cost almost nothing. After $20,000 in programs and practitioners, it was somatic shaking, rocking, breathwork, nervous system regulation. 5-15 min a day did more than every diet combined. Your body already knows how to let go. It’s waiting for you to feel safe enough.
6. Once the weight came off, the real work began. Losing the weight was just the start. What actually changed my life was understanding why my body held onto it in the first place. The patterns, the stress, the way I’d been living. That’s what keeps it off, not willpower. Safety.

Your body isn’t holding onto that weight because you’re not trying hard enough. It’s holding on because it thinks it needs to.
I’m hosting a free masterclass where I’m breaking down exactly why your body is holding onto that belly fat even when you’re doing everything right and what actually resolves it.

I checked my body every single day, standing in front of the mirror, staring at weight and belly fat I couldn’t explain and couldn’t shift no matter how hard I tried.
No one talks about how hard it is to gain weight when you’re doing everything right. When you’ve tried everything. When you’ve spent thousand, cutting foods, trying new diets, training harder and you’re still out of answers.
Then you start to wonder if this is just how your body is now and you need to accept it. That was me.
I’m hosting a free masterclass where I’m breaking down exactly why your body is holding onto that belly fat even when you’re doing everything right, and what actually needs to shift for it to finally let go.
This is for you if you’ve tried everything and you’re done blaming yourself.

1. Regulate my nervous system first, before anything else.
Somatic exercises, shaking, breathwork, tapping, legs up the wall. 5-15 minutes a day. This is how you tell your body it’s safe. It’s how you bring it out of fight or flight and into a state where it can actually start to heal. Within weeks of doing this daily my bloating started to ease, my sleep changed, and my anxiety quietened. Not from a new diet. From giving my body what it actually needed, safety.
2. Start listening to my body instead of overriding it.
I spent years ignoring every signal, pushing through exhaustion, eating on the go. Training when my body was begging me to rest. The healing accelerated when I stopped forcing and started listening. When I was tired, I rested. When my body said no, I honoured it. That sounds simple but for someone who’s spent their whole life in go-mode, it’s one of the hardest things you’ll ever do.
3. Address the patterns underneath the symptoms.
This is the part most people skip. The symptoms calm down, great. But if you don’t look at why your nervous system was stuck in the first place, they’ll come back. The people-pleasing, the fear of being seen, the controlling, the inability to say no that’s the deeper work. That’s what changed not just my health but my relationships, my work, how I show up in every part of my life. This is what I do with women in coaching , we don’t just calm the body. We change the way you live in it.
These two layers work together. Regulating your nervous system heals the body. Understanding the patterns underneath changes the life. Together they gave me everything, my health back, my confidence, my peace, and a life I actually want to be present in.

I lived with every single one of these for years and thought it was just who I was. The snapping for no reason, the 3am wake-ups staring at the ceiling, the bloating that no diet could fix, the constant tension I carried everywhere. I thought I was broken. I wasn’t.
My nervous system was overwhelmed and doing the only thing it knew how to do, protect me.
The moment I understood that, everything started to change. Not because I found a new supplement or protocol. Because I finally understood what my body was actually asking for safety.

1. Your body can only carry what you won’t deal with for so long. I ignored every signal for years, the bloating, the fatigue, the anxiety and pushed through all of it. Your body doesn’t forget. It stores everything you suppress until it has no choice but to force you to stop.
2. Healing doesn’t come from doing more. I added more supplements, more appointments, more protocols, more discipline. The shift came when I started doing less. Less forcing, less controlling, less fighting my body. More listening.
3. Not one of the practitioners I saw in a decade ever mentioned my nervous system. Not the GP, not the gut specialist, not the naturopath, not the nutritionist, not the energy healer. I had to find it by accident on my living room floor through a TikTok video. That still blows my mind.
4. Your body doesn’t need perfection. It needs safety. I ate perfectly, exercises daily, meditates. Did everything “right.” And my body was still falling apart. Because it didn’t need a better routine, it needed to feel safe enough to stop surviving.
5. The healing that changed my life cost almost nothing. After $20,000, legs up the wall, somatic shaking, rocking, breathing. 15 minutes a day on my living room floor did more than every appointment combined. Your body already knows how to heal. It’s waiting for you to give it the chance. 6. Once you heal your body, the real work begins. The symptoms going away was just the start. What came next was understanding why they were there, the patterns, the beliefs, the way I’d been living. That’s what actually changed my life. Not just feeling better. Living differently.
