After Valentine’s…
After the rain
and the Cambridge snow…
A Sunday afternoon visit
to @stjohnscam
to share some thoughts
on Pilate’s question
from John 18:38
In the light of
2 Kings 2:1-12;
Matthew 17:9-23
Reflecting upon our collective posture towards truth…
As seen in our continual rejection of truth…
Our unwillingness to listen to truth as is found in our persistent unbelief in truth
A denial that continually closes the door
to liberation,
to healing and
to reconciliation…
A defensiveness, and an avoidance that always seems to eventually beget violence.
Prayers ascending…
Thanks to all ❤️🔥
And especially
@grahamdunn77
for welcoming me… 🙏🏾
You
will
NEVER
guess
who popped over to
PERIVALE
last night…
to help us out
with
our final Monday nite hosting of
Ealing Churches
Winter Night Shelter!!
@bishopoflondon
It really was an unexpected surprise for our volunteers to be joined by Bishop Sarah Mullally who got seriously ‘stuck in’ to all the various preparation tasks needed to welcome our VIP guests…
Everything…
from setting up beds
to laying tables,
from welcoming guests
to adding the final touches to a hearty, homemade meal!
‘All hands on deck’
But there was still time to chat with the volunteers and the shelter leaders.
On behalf of the St Nicholas PCC,
we want to express our sincere thanks to EVERYONE who has helped, prepped, cooked, baked, welcomed and served all our guests over the last 5 weeks!❤️🔥
And we look forward to hosting again next year!!!🙏🏾
As we prepare to transition
from Advent
to Christmas…
Guest or Helper…
May the Joy of the Lord
be your strength,
today and always!❤️🔥🙏🏾
PS: If you too, would like to get involved in volunteering to support Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter OR if you would like to connect a guest up with the shelter team…
Pls type ‘Room For One More’ in the comments below, and we will gladly connect you…

Yesterday at St Nicholas, we gathered as a community for our patronal service to pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ in our 90th & 60th year celebrations.
This week’s theme, The Stable, reminds us that God often meets us in the simplest and most unexpected places.
It was a real joy to have Bishop Lusa Nsenga-Ngoy with us, joining Rev Natasha and our church family in a beautiful time of worship and reflection.
We shared in the beautiful rite of Asperges or ‘sprinkling’ with salted holy water to help us remember both our own baptism and the seasoning of the Word in our shared lives together, not only for purification of our souls and also our ‘stable’, the church family.
We called upon God’s protection as we step into the future that God has for St Nicholas church and parish.
May this season continue to draw us closer to hope, peace, and the humble love shown in the stable.

Some moments remind us so gently that God truly goes before us.
In today’s testimony, we’re reminded that even when we forget to pray, even when life feels full and demanding, God is already working things out on our behalf.
As we journey through community events, pilgrim walks, and teachings at St Nicholas, it’s easy to get caught up in the doing. But God sees us, knows our needs, and sends help in the most unexpected ways, sometimes through the kindness of someone who simply feels led to show up.
May this encourage you today. Whatever you’re carrying, you are not doing it alone. God is ahead of you, surrounding you, and speaking for you in ways you may not even see yet.
If this touched you, share a word of gratitude or encouragement in the comments.

The book launch was 🧨🧨🧨
What an enriching, enlightening and liberating dialogue!!
Stories from a African perspective that debunk the colonial myths…
Where was this book when we were in Bible college?
With sincere thanks to all our panelists as well as our author!

In this conversation, Harvey C. Kwiyani shares why this is the perfect time to rethink what mission truly means in today’s world.
As Christianity grows across the globe, it’s time to move beyond colonial frameworks and make space for voices from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and beyond. Voices that reflect the fullness of God’s kingdom.
📖 Join us this Friday, 14th November at 6:30 PM for the official Book Launch of Decolonizing Mission at St Nicholas Perivale.
