Almost a year ago, I had the honor of exhibiting 心 Kokoro at Meraki Space’s Opening Gallery. The experience was deeply expansive. I met so many incredible people and finally shared a piece that had been in the making for over a year.
I’m thrilled to share that 心 Kokoro will be returning this Sunday at Meraki Market for a special installation in collaboration with @melissamedinaart and @vy.lanatelier
This time is a little different! I am ready to allow her to find her forever home with a collector who will cherish her as much as I do. Integration for me lately has been realizing that a lot of what I have been fueled off of is fast-paced, fear-based, anxiety inducing work in my responsibility dynamics. I’ve been thinking for a long time feeling the edge was the same thing as ‘my fire’.
I don’t know if I could ever identify my true fire, my inner flame. But now, I’m listening.
Trying my best to ever so slowly and delicately bloom a reality for myself inspired by my inner light: joy, community,inspiration, justice & injustice, passion, anger even.
This Cancer in Jupiter that’s happening rn is kinda kicking my Capricorn ass but it is teaching me one thing - I won’t see the fruits of my labor the same day I plant the seed and that’s probably a blessing.
Another ode to the @slowresidency portal, a place that really gave me all I needed to see my light and the light of others- this is what it feels like to have my inner flame coaxed.
