Good or bad, it’s always a little sad to say goodbye to another year. Lots of new stuff in 2025 though:
- My 1st broken bone! (left clavicle, multiple pieces, ChatGPT has all my medical info so don’t worry)
- Related: my first titanium plate/screws surgery! (Open reduction internal fixation, ORIF for short). Lots of related firsts around this tbh
- 2 amazing trips to Europe, countless glasses of wine
- 100s of selfies of my aging in real time
- A 20 year reunion of colleagues to mourn my first boss
- First time featured on whatisnewyork, capturing a guy almost getting iced by some ice (this is a real hazard, in my defense there was so much falling and the guy wasn’t that close)
So much more I can’t remember it all. But hoping for a 2026 that’s interesting in its own way! (And no more broken bones 🤞) HNY everyone 🥳
@ferzo16 and @samstagram for the 2006 Clio call for entries, starring Marty (I did not participate and was in hiding). But we all stayed late for this, because it was fun. And bc we all had our own offices that were bigger than our apartments, and a boss who encouraged us to find fun and be ourselves
Not everything in life/the world is beautiful, so sometimes it’s nice to get a direct injection of lots of it. It’s been over 15 years since the last Italy trip, this time was Varenna > Milan > Cernobbio — Mountains, water, sunsets, pasta, art, wine 🚫💻 a little depressed now!
Smashed a drone, killed an Expedition rental, shattered a clavicle, attacked by aggressive squirrels… But also had beautiful landscapes, amazing weather, nice animals, a bunch of 80s new wave legends, and the best people obsessed with making nice things for others to look at. Thanks all!! And PDX I love you and forgive you for taking my shoulder
Spain 🇪🇸 ❤️ I’d always wanted to see Alhambra, but a little research uncovered many other mosques/cathedrals/alcazars/sights also worth seeing. So we tried to see them all 👀 It’s all out of order but the Mezquita in Córdoba, Sevilla Alcázar/Plaza España, Alhambra/Granada, Carnival celebration in Málaga, sunset in Cádiz #natchotravels
This summer she would have been 19, I joked she could vote and go to war. She was the best cardboard destroyer, snack thief, mouse scarer, cancer survivor, kiss demander, space heater, pandemic entertainer, and so much more 💔🖤
