Ten years ago I signed my lease in LA. I packed everything I could into two suitcases and moved all the way from Miami, staying shortly with my amazing aunt in San Diego who helped me find a place to live. I always knew I could make it after tons of people doubting me and asking why I was moving so far without a job lined up. Iāve had amazing experiences with work and being able to travel and do things I never thought I would or could.
Thereās no way I could thank everyone Iāve met since moving here for giving me so many incredible opportunities and so many amazing friends Iāve made along the way here . And Iāve been so lucky to keep some friends I had before moving who made their way out to visit and stayed friends with me despite the many miles. 2024 was a wild one- most people I know would say they canāt wait for it to end and while I can necessarily disagree I do have a lot of found memories looking back. I traveled to two new countries and a new US state, two great friend couples got married and remarried, a dog party for a bunch of babies turning 1, more cam oping and getting to work with friends and Morphie met a turtle! So I only took one photo all night last night at the Avatar Oscar party. I spent the entire night catching up with many people I love and respect but I have so much to thank this woman for. She gave me an incredible opportunity to start my career in Hollywood by being her assistant on one of the biggest movies in Hollywood. Sheās always been supportive of me and my career and couldnāt be happier that post avatar Iām getting to live my dream working in the camera department. I wouldnāt trade my experience with her for any other job on set. We had great times and so many laughs. I couldnāt be more thankful for the experience she gave me and the friendship and kindness I got out of it. Thank you for everything Sig š and congratulations to the cast and crew of Avatar: the way of water on their Oscar for best VFX.

So for Christmas this year, my mom had been wanting an Audrey Hepburn poster for her black and white bathroom but something wasnāt quite right so she hadnāt ordered it. I decided to give self-portrait a try (im not generally one to be photographed or photograph people) it took a lot of tries but overall I came out pretty happy with it and she loved it. I know Iām obviously no Audrey but I thought sheād get a kick out of an attempted look-a-like photo š
