This was the first time I met the great man himself, I was privileged to work with him on two other projects besides this one. A Dharmendra sized hole is impossible to fill. I treasure the affection I received from him. Not everyone can claim a 60 year long thoroughly deserved stardom. May he rest in eternal peace. Aameen
IC 814 की release के दो तीन महीने बाद Netflix ने बहुत सारा Data देखने के बाद मुझे बताया कि The show brought binging back. सबसे ज़्यादा संख्या में लोग वो थे जिन्होंने show को दो बार में पूरा देखा। और लगभग उनते ही लोगों ने, पर उस से कुछ कम ने, एक बार में देखा। दर्शकों और मेरी writing team को बहुत इसका सारा श्रेय जाता है। बाक़ी की टीम जिसने २५ साल पुराना दौर बनाया। सारे कलाकार। ख़ास तौर पे वो जो छोटे छोटे Roles में जुड़े। पंकज कपूर, नसीरुद्दीन शाह, कंवलजीत सिंह, यशपाल शर्मा, सुशांत सिंह, आदित्य श्रीवास्तव का मैं ऋणी हूँ। अच्छा काम बिना पूरी टीम के हो ही नहीं सकता। सबका तहे दिल से शुक्रिया।
Revisited Ardh Satya on the big screen last night after ages. Both Sadashiv and Om are at their absolute best. Something Nicholas Ray said about Bogart which really applies to Om, ‘His face was a living reproach. He was much more than an actor. He was the very image of our condition.’
