Narval! 📍Sound performance of Narval 📍October 25, 2025 📍6:30 pm, open doors from 6 pm At Galerie Vincenz Sala Sigmaringer Str. 23 Berlin @galerievincenzsala During the closing event of the solo exhibition “hum” of Evgenija Wassilew at Galerie Vincenz Sala, the performance duo Narval will enter into a site-specific dialogue with the exhibition, utilizing the components and sounds of the exhibition, the spatial and acoustic properties of the gallery, as well as some of their tools: everyday objects, self-designed wind and percussion instruments, feedback techniques, radio receivers, mini synths, and smartphones. Narval is a performance duo of Berlin-based artists Peter Strickmann @peter_strickmann and Evgenija Wassilew @evgenija_wassilew that came to be in 2018 during a joint residency at Titanik Galerie Turku, Finland. März 2025 findet um 18.30 Uhr in der Galerie Adlershof eine Performance von Narval statt. Peter Strickmann @peter_strickmann und Evgenija Wassilew @evgenija_wassilew entwickeln zusammen unter dem Namen Narval ortsspezifische Performances mit Klang, Situation und Raum. Dabei nutzen sie akustische Rückkopplungen sowie selbstgebaute oder zweckentfremdete Instrumente.   Im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Auf der Spur“ werden Narval die Räume der Galerie Adlershof bespielen. Das Duo reagiert auf die Situation eines Nachmittags kurz vor der Dämmerung sowie auf die Ausstellungsarchitektur und die möglichen akustischen Spuren der ausgestellten Werke von Barbara Müller-Kagler, Christine Berndt, Stefanie Hillich, MK Kaehne, Felix Müller und Henry Stöcker. Kleine akustische, wandernde Gesten wie auch raumfüllende Resonanzen charakterisieren die Spurensuche innerhalb der Ausstellungsräume.   Narval wurde im Winter 2018 auf dem zugefrorenen Fluss Aurajoki in Turku, Finnland, gegründet. Seither entwickelten sie Performances für die Titanik Galeria in Turku, dem konnektor - Forum für Künste, Hannover sowie in Berlin für Institutionen, wie Zwitschermaschine, ausland, Bärenzwinger, Errant Sound, Alte Feuerwache Friedrichshain, Spoiler und Zönotéka.
