new headshots!!
eh. don't like that word.
posting on ig feels weird rn, right?? but i am very normal and can handle being seen! (no, you!!)
i wanted to share these because my face makes me happy and i'm so grateful to my dear friend Wayne for capturing these moments.
as an actor sometimes i see pictures of myself and think, okay yes i did it! âď¸ that looks like how i want people to see me! that is an acceptable image that artfully toes the line between serving and "not trying"! i enjoy this performance of myself. i'm actually so good at playing myself!
idk maybe we all do this to some extent or maybe im deeply broken (no, you!!!)
ANYWAY! i love these photos bc im just like.
wow.
that's me :)
the smile lines and uneven eyes and crooked smile :)(i could keep going but i think that's out of vogue these days)
BUT! :) so pretty. very handsome. so them. so ME.
let @narrative_roux shoot u in the head is the takeaway i guess!
talking about violence rn feels weird but everything sucks (no, you!!!) so yeah,,,
okay was this downplayed enough? can u tell i perfect amount care deeply and don't gaf? am i playing myself well rn? lol :$$$
okay that's enough bye

Harvey Pekar was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 8, 1939, and passed away in Cleveland Heights in 2010. This Sunday, weâll be screening American Splendor, the film based on his life and named after the comic book series that brought him fame. While comics often explore fantasy-filled adventures, Pekar used the medium to depict the everyday reality of life in Cleveland, Ohio. His work drew heavily from his job as a file clerk at the VA, where his interactions with colleagues and patients informed his unique storytelling.
After watching the film, weâll dive into a collection of interviews and other materials @narrative_roux has curated. Weâll discuss the challenges and rewards of a creative life in Cleveland, exploring the opportunities here and the potential for creating meaningful work in our community.
A lesser-known fact about Pekar is his love of music; he was an avid fan and wrote extensively as a music critic. Iâll share a link to some of his articles in the bio!
