This was this weekend. I think it’s safe to say the first Gateway Sessions was a success! More to come.

It is with a heavy heart that I share this news.
Our dear friend Lamont has passed away. He was found April 22 in his apartment after weeks of silence that deeply concerned those of us who love him. I made a call to his martial arts dojo, and through that, we were able to discover what had happened. I don’t believe anyone else was aware, and I feel it’s important that his community and anyone who cared about him knows.
Lamont was a kind, strong, and deeply soulful man. He touched many lives, especially through his martial arts practice, friendships, and presence in this community. Right now, his body is in the care of the coroner’s office, myself and other close family and friends are organizing with his blood family, a celebration/memorial for our beautiful Lamont life. Dates and details to be announced.
If you knew Lamont—whether closely or in passing—and feel called to help in any way with arrangements, remembrance, or simply sharing your memories of him, please reach out. We want to honor him properly and make sure he is not forgotten.
