🪁“Our Lady of the Duck Pond” - A Collection of Hometown Vignettes ☔️ Nara Visa debuts with an ode to Albuquerque
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Emerging indie-rock band Nara Visa is set to release their debut record “Our Lady of the Duck Pond” on May 24. Reminiscent of sonic profiles from the likes of Modest Mouse, Crazy Horse, and The Toadies, this
release holds a mirror to the local scene, exploring hometown hardships and provincial folklore.
This coming-of-age collection features Cody Lutz on lead vocals, with a rawness that captures the sound and vibe of the local scene in a visceral way. Whether skating down Central in “Samantha” or stumbling through the student ghetto in “Broken Cars,” in each track you can find yourself somewhere familiar.
Locally-made to its core, “Our Lady of the Duck Pond” was recorded and produced by Matthew Tobias at Empty House Studio in downtown Albuquerque, and features Matt Kletecka on guitar and piano, Richard Davidson on bass, Peach Anderson-Tauzer on drums, as well as Cody Lutz on guitar in addition to vocals. Lutz’s vocals are further supported with harmonies from the entire band as well as guest appearances from Duke City Boys Choir.
With the release of this forthcoming album, Nara Visa materialize into a spirited americana rock group while maintaining the playfulness of their crust-punk past.
Pre-save the album to be the first to hear it on Friday. For press inquiries, reach out to Sydney Counce at [email protected]@cody_ryan_music@mediocre_burger_dad@fatherpeach@mekletecka@matthewdrummer@the.sydney
