Perfect Flower (ดอกสมบูรณ์เพศ)
Description: For me, it is so much hurt being asked "what gender you are". I would like to present the sexual diversity through Cha-Ba (Hibiscus), which comprises of stamen and pistil in the same blossom. I went to take photos of Cha-Ba in various species and different colours from 50 districts in Bangkok. When I showed them to people, all said it was "Cha-Ba". People never separate flowers by their genders, but why do we need answers to such disconcerting questions from the others?
What happened at the end of 2025 was my quest to hunt down flowers from the same botanical families as the key notes in @panpuriofficial Panpuri’s various perfume oils. It wasn't just in Bangkok because it took me all the way to the provinces. I had to get a 3-meter-tall Osmanthus tree completely uprooted and brought from Prachinburi. Jasmine flowers wouldn't bloom in the winter, forcing me to order 100 plants from a garden in Nonthaburi. Lotus flowers wouldn't open because there wasn't enough sunlight, meaning I had to haul all my camera gear to a lotus farm in Nakhon Pathom for days just waiting for the day multiple lotuses would bloom at the same time.
One word for it "Satisfying af"

More than a decade ago, Nang Loeng was a place of memory from my university years. Returning now, @panpuriofficial scent moves in harmony with a six instrument composition by @phil_wc echoing diverse origins and softly connecting past and present. Scent, music, and flowers may seem worlds apart, one felt in the air, one heard in sound, and one seen in form, yet when they come together, they create something unexpectedly rare and deeply evocative, where each difference becomes part of a new and beautiful whole. This project becomes a quiet union of history, people, scent, flowers, music, and place. Over six months, it carries a simple thought: difference does not divide us, it creates a space where we can all belong.

I still remember standing there, contemplating the "Viola hederacea" for the longest time when I first encountered it in Sydney. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to experience it again until now. This might be another moment where @lelabofragrances brings a fading memory back into vivid, purple clarity through VIOLETTE 30.

When a flower becomes a commodity. When beauty is dictated by the economy. When identity is rewritten.
Artist Naraphat Sakarthornsap and curator Pojai Akratanakul reveal the thinking behind “To fall from grace”, moving from the story of the Madame Pompadour orchid to larger questions of nationhood, value, and erasure.

Final week of the exhibition “To fall from grace” by Naraphat Sakarthornsap
From the once celebrated Pompadour orchid to the commercially dominant Sonia, this exhibition traces the quiet disappearance of identity and the resilience required to return to oneself.
Through photography, installation, and living orchids offered at a price chosen by the viewer, the work questions value, survival, and the courage to speak one’s truth.
Before the exhibition closes, we invite you to read the full interview to discover the personal memories, research journey, and deeper reflections that shaped this body of work.
On view until 28 February 2026. Last chance to experience it.
