In two days, it’s finally time for RAW, an afrohouse and afrotech experience. One of the things I’m most proud of. Creating a space where people can truly enjoy themselves, connect, and come together. And honestly, there’s nothing better than doing this alongside friends I’ve known for over 15 years (@imaikl & @thejokg ). It also feels special to book someone who gave me some of my very first opportunities in a club, and who’s been in the game for 25 (!) years already (@djwaxfiend ). To be able to give space to upcoming DJs like myself to show what they can do (@solarafox ), to finally have an established name from the Afro scene become part of RAW (@djrickss ), and last but definitely not least… to play a special extended set together with someone I randomly met at the exact place where I learned how to DJ (@donatomijnals ). Thursday feels like a real full-circle moment for me and I’m truly looking forward to it. Come thru, @radioradio.radio is the place to be this Thursday 🖤

Three years ago, in May, I started my journey to reach people through music. Now, three years later, I’m proud to say RAW has become a place where music brings people together. Donato and NARADA represent two paths shaped by the same pulse, rhythm, movement and a deeper connection to electronic music. Donato stepped behind the decks at just 11 years old. What started in the energy of EDM gradually evolved into a more grounded, rhythm-driven sound rooted in afrohouse, drawing from African and South American influences along the way. NARADA, inspired by his namesake, the divine messenger Narada, approaches music as a form of connection. Rooted in Afrohouse and Afrotech, his sets are built as journeys, balancing energy and emotion while bringing people together on the dancefloor. As the founder of RAW, this vision extends beyond the booth, creating space for people to connect, through sound and through each other. Their first B2B at RAW felt natural. Unforced. In sync. On the 14th of May, Ascension Day, RAW returns to our home at Radio Radio. From 16:00 until 02:00, we move from daylight into the night, guided by the energy of afrohouse and afrotech. During the last edition, the b2b between NARADA & Donato Mijnals created something special on the dancefloor. So special that we’re doing it again, this time going deeper with a 4-hour B2B journey. Joining us are some familiar and respected names in the scene: Tribes & Ziongate founder Wes Lee VIM founder RICKS our residents NOSSO and OMARI and the powerful sound of Solara Fox We gather again.
