Machines promise to connect us, we use them to communicate between each other and express ourselves. MECHANICAL FRAGILITY is an event where we explore human connections and the role of machines in it. Two dance performances about precarious connections mediated by machines. How does technology interpret our moving bodies? How do we use technology to communicate what can’t be communicated with words? PAIN CREATURE - nar.interactive Pain Creature is an interactive dance performance that explores the communication of bodily discomforts and the dynamics of witnessing others’ pain. Developed by artist duo nar.interactive, (Vincenzo Madaghiele and Dila Demir), this piece explores the intersection of physical pain and its externalization through an interactive costume called the soma extension. The soma extension serves as a tangible manifestation of the pain Dila experiences, employing auditory and tactile elements to convey the lived experience of a diseased body. DANCING EMBRYO - Diego Marín Dancing Embryo is the artistic manifestation of the project Human-AI Dance. It includes dance performances and an interactive installation where human and AI creativity converge. The installation looks to offer two open-interaction modalities: users can engage physically with an intelligent, pictorial being capable of either co-creating movement or facilitating a dance learning experience. Through motion sensors and mixed reality, the exhibition space becomes a liminal zone—a threshold where human embodiment and AI agency intertwine in real-time choreographic dialogue. #dance #technology #performanceart

Pain Creature, by nar.interactive (@nar.interactive ), will be exhibited in myriad artwork description: Pain Creature is an interactive dance performance that explores the communication of bodily discomforts and the dynamics of witnessing others' pain. The dancer's chronic pain is represented by an interactive costume called the soma extension - a Pain Creature. Pain Creature is an unwanted presence, a parasite living on the dancer's skin that responds to touch with abstract sonic utterances. The performance unfolds as a dialogue between the dancer and the creature, accompanied by a texture of evolving electronic sounds. There will be two performances of Pain Creature: - on Friday (04/10), at 19:00 - on Saturday (05/10), at 18:00 A recording of a performance will be shown on a screen during the rest of the exhibition. about the artists: nar.interactive is an art performance duo composed of Dila Demir and Vincenzo Madaghiele. They explore themes of embodied memories and cultural identities combining electronics, bodily materials, algorithms, and textiles into performances and installations. Their work focuses on the development of interactive textile objects mediating personal experiences and cultural narratives through auditory-tactile interactions. The duo's influences include electronic glitch, noise and metal music, Anatolian rug weaving, somaesthetics, phenomenology of movement, feminist sci-fi novels and southern Italian folk rhythms. --- myriad explores the themes of origin, contribution, inspiration and accreditation in human expression and creation, through the example of digital artworks and the software used to create them.
