Married my best friend in the desert surrounded by our favorite people in the universe. Got a veil on eBay and dyed my shoes with tea. There was a home movie, a pool party, a heatwave and a rave. These things don’t happen unless people come together, which is really what this is all about, and I am endlessly grateful to everyone who made it possible and braved the distance. It was perfect in every way. Your attention to detail is so inspiring. She even embroidered my brothers name on my dress @nicolebakescakes for the most beautiful cakes, @laspalmasbrewing for your generosity and showing us how the locals do it @pilarfloral for your knowledge and creativity the florals were stunning and you’re a gem, @amywattslv for helping us craft the best specialty cocktails, being so generous and such an angel @irel4nd and Taylor for hosting the after party, Ireland you are the blueprint of friendship and completely unparalleled. I don’t know anyone who would go above and beyond the way you did. I love you. Also curious what you did with the goodwill couches? My sister and maid of honor who doesn’t have Instagram but if you ever see this you’re my hero, @mollymundy & @danhasacam my ride or dies, my family, words won’t cut it. @jorrrdanbrooks @jennagreenmusic & @novodor for throwing down one of my favorite parts was watching you guys do your thing I’m so proud to be your friend. In 2017 my favorite band took me on the road. I want to thank Adam for always having my back and for opening that first email, it changed my life. Sean for being the biggest supporter, a legend and mastermind. Bronko for teaching us all how to tour and being like another brother to me, Izzy for being actual sunshine, reminding me and everyone around her everyday without fail that there is beauty in everything, I’m going to miss Charlie’s laugh, Jack’s little voices- I am so honored to have shared the stage with you both. GVX forever. Willow, you’re a light and you know how to make everyone laugh, especially me. Danielle for meeting me with so much grace and compassion from day 1, I couldn’t have gotten through those last shows without you. ODL, Scott and Enrique, I will never not be inspired by your work ethic and passion, I’ll miss every second of raging behind the video wall, listening to your warm ups from the other room, secret handshakes. Strings, having the opportunity to play alongside you all is something i will never forget, thank you always, you were a force. Shane for being a true mentor and helping me dig deeper, for riding the wave with me. My Jack for being the most incredible support system, paying such close attention to detail, you continue to floor me. Michelle for always bringing me back to earth, figuratively and literally lol. Neil and Julian, your little smirks behind the camera, as many times as it was pointed at me i tried to take mental pictures of you. Thank you so much to the crew who worked so tirelessly, Jen, pyro, imag, lighting, to our incredible fans, nothing i say will ever begin to even scratch the surface, from the bottom of my heart thank you, you have no idea how profound the moments we shared were for me. And of course, to H and C for taking me in and making me family, allowing me space to experiment and grow on stage, taking chances on me again and again. When we first wrote Glass House I told Colson we should strip it. Without hesitation he booked a studio the next day where we did just that, which then lead us into writing Death In My Pocket and I Think I’m Okay all in the same night. It was one of those ones where you’re just so locked in next thing you know it’s 7am and you’re watching the sunrise driving home. All my love to Wynne for somehow always finding a way to draw my best work out of me, Slim for never failing to make me feel valued in the room, and of course Colson for blindly trusting me since day one.
