Natarajasana 🩰🪩
I’m so enchanted by the mythology behind this posture and find it to be the most graceful asana to embody and to teach.
I spent many years practicing the one-arm modification before working for months with a strap (many falls and tumbles here) before eventually working towards the beautiful “flip grip” variation.
Absolutely delighted at the progress which just reminds me of the power in showing up with patience, discipline and a sense of humour - on and off the mat, for every goal I’m working towards.
Small steps every day 💫

The past year has been the most surreal period of big shifts and wild changes. The most special transition has been from yoga student (which I will remain to be for the rest of my days!) to yoga teacher 🥹💘
I’ve found something that lights me up and makes me feel alive, connected and challenged. I learn something new EVERY single day and it’s a genuine whole-hearted honour to hold space for all the practitioners that wander into my classes with their big, open, curious hearts.
you’re never too old and it’s never too late to start something new and make your daydreams become a reality. I was 31 when I travelled to India to train and whether you’re 21, 31 or 71, I love the idea that we can shed, release and let go of myriad past versions of ourselves throughout this lifetime. We change. We grow. We shape-shift and evolve.
To change directions and pivot in our lives and careers makes life so much more rich.
I’ve been a farmer, a housekeeper, a waitress, a PR/Marketing manager and everything in between but this is the best and most fulfilling ‘work’ I’ve ever done. Grateful.
Thankyou @shotbysuki for my new shots - I’m surrounded by the most talented friends 💘
Life in a Yoga School in South Goa✨
Reflecting on a magical few months of learning, practicing, moving and meditating with the finest humans beings from all around the world.
I will forever be grateful to have found this peaceful little corner of the world. A true home away from home.
There is nowhere quite like @sampoorna_yoga 💛
the most effective and simple route to contentment? acknowledging and truly believing that all you have and who you are is already more than enough ✨
how do we come to embody this belief?
✨ g r a t i t u d e ~ of course ✨
my gratitude practices shape my existence.
pausing throughout every single day to really appreciate the gifts we easily take for granted - this body, this breath, this food, this home, these surroundings, these humans - will really change your life for the better.
a little peek into my sunshine days here in south goa, india 🇮🇳
as the season draws to a close I’m luxuriating in the languid rhythm of life, savouring every sunset and taking extra time to say hello to all the cows, monkeys and street dogs.
my final 6 weeks here are dedicated to honing and refining my craft as a yoga teacher, caring for my health, getting curious about sleep, building strength and nurturing injuries through intentional exercise, writing, creating and being present in these soft, gooey, warm days.
6 weeks feels like such a long time when you’re a child. these days it feels like no time at all. I’m conscious of the season slipping away between my fingers as the beach huts start to pack down, the shops start to close and all the familiar faces start to depart. every day brings another goodbye but I’ll be here until the monsoon rains start to pour.
until then, enjoying one sticky, humid, beautiful day at a time 🧡🤍💙💚
simple things, small pleasures and soft moments.
the art of noticing and delighting in the tiny joys is my daily practice. some days it’s effortless. other days when my hormones are in chaos, my brain is foggy and my heart is tender, I have to try much harder and remind myself to strip everything back and return to simplicity.
last week felt heavy energetically. highs and lows are a fact of life, even in paradise. in these emotional dips and fragile moments, it’s the simplest things that have the most profound impact.
the things that I trust to reset my system and return me to a state of innocent delight:
barefoot beach walks, collecting seashells, admiring flowers, writing until I run out of words, getting lost in the pleasure of fiction, building worlds in my head, wearing rainbow outfits, embracing the spirals of my curly hair, cloud gazing, sunsets, exploring the borders of my body with movement and play, singing my heart out, crying freely, talking to my Mama, resting, hugging, noticing.
these precious, simple things ✨
My physical yoga asana practice has changed soooo much in the last couple of years.
I used to be obsessive about a daily power practice and was passionate about striving towards embodying certain shapes - spending hours upon hours training my body to achieve pincha, dropback, kapotasana, headstand etc…
Now my focus is wholly on how I FEEL and my practice will align with this.
A shift in lifestyle means I often feel softer now, more restful, more gentle.
My life feels more feminine energetically these days, my natural state is leaning towards yin and so my practice has followed.
When l land on my mat these days I usually just want to slow down, wiggle my hips, open my heart, breathe deeply, pause the chitter chatter of my mind.
Don’t get me wrong ~ I still love a full power spicy practice but not every day. No way.
But there’s still a certain season in my cycle when you will still catch me at Rocket / Ashtanga for playtime ❤️🔥🌀🧚🏾🚀

Every day isn’t joyful but every day does contain many reasons to be grateful. Gratitude for the small things, big things and everything in-between 💘🌀🧚🏾
Some of my favourite drills and juicy stretches to prepare the wholeeeeee body for deep backbends / heart openers (the last one is my current favourite) 💘
