Jamaica we love you 🇯🇲
Home to my family, I’ve donated to the @foodforthepoorja who are doing incredible work on the ground after Hurricane Melissa and I wanted to find another way to support so I created this T~Shirt with @everpresshq to keep raising funds for their relief effort.
While designing it I learnt that Jamaica’s national bird is the Hummingbird a symbol of resilience, hope & adaptability. She also carries music the way Jamaica has to the world. On the T-shirt the green & black hummingbird flies to the sun, all the colours of Jamaica’s flag. She sings “Even after the storm, Jamaica still sings…”

making peace with my body after two babies & CFS is still a journey but I’m so grateful to @addai_davis for designing pieces for tour & the stage that let me express myself and still feel comfortable.
Joyce created each piece by hand with care & intention & we both agreed that the pieces had to be kind to the earth.
many of the fabrics were donated by the university where Joyce teaches and researches sustainable fashion, they were thoughtfully sourced, second-life materials with stories of their own.
we prioritised cottons over synthetics, choosing fibres that could one day return to the earth.

full transparency I thought it was going to be a fail, algorithms and anxiety had me believing only a few would show up and after 6 years of not being on the road & being fairly low key it was hard for me to see how all these tickets were going to sell but we did it, you the fans did it!! I’m so happy you’re still here, u really made me remember that music stays with us for a lifetime and so do the fans. I’m so honoured to be apart of your life’s journey and thank you deeply for being apart of mine.
Big shout out to @ibebellah for being an incredible opening act, smashing around the US & Canada and showing up every night giving it 100%. So proud of you.
