Here’s a bit more about the performance:

@thegladscientist is the duo of interdisciplinary artists Nancy El Azzi and Daniel Sabio. Together they use synthesizers to create dark architectures to explore sensations of alienation, travel, and reclamation that envelop listeners in foreign spaces with tinges of familiarity.
Nansynth (Nancy El Azzi) is a Lebanese Art Director, multidisciplinary artist and sound explorer working at the intersection of improvisation and perfectionism. Her work expands from design projects and illustrations to immersive experiences, installations and stage performances. A devoted synthesis fanatic, she pulls out her synthesizer any chance she gets for jams and sonic explorations. When she’s not making noise, she’s usually monkeying around or exploring different side quests in search of joyful chaos.
The Glad Scientist (Daniel Sabio) is a conceptual media artist and noise musician creating moments of transformation through the immersive, interactive, and collaborative. A “quantum creature” navigating the high-tension wires between science and spirituality, Sabio’s work focuses on performance and installation, challenging and playing with humanity’s relationship with technology. For over a decade, their work has been welcomed at diverse events including Ars Electronica, Sonar+D, ISEA, DreamHack, and Lev Festival. Whether through abrasive noise or experimental technology, they aim to disrupt an observer’s philosophical grounding and explore the bounds of our universal view. Spaces are limited so first come first serve!
