I feel so enormously blessed to have the honor in representing Spelman College following the legacy of my mother in this full circle moment. I’ve been overwhelmed in emotion and tears since the moment I began this journey back in December. I allowed spirit to guide me as Nike gave me 100% control in this design. I wanted to ensure that we as Spelmanites felt an experience that’ll last a lifetime with this sneaker.
I’ve included lines from the Hymn as it ties us all together like the fabric of our sisterhood & our community.
Our song “A Choice to Change the World” purposefully placed on the inside tab as a personal charge for motivation that with every step you take there is motion.
A clean classic Spelman Blue & cream sneaker that will reach all generations. The suede is for an elevated touch while including the jaguar print for a fresh Y2K feel.

From themed fits to iconic R&B performances to yoga meditations, wine tastings, mentorship meetings/panels & late night turn ups. We witnessed you float in your purpose. This was a heavy call but you answered. We felt safe, seen, & loved. 💫 Can't wait for the next one. 🩵 #FemmelandAtSea
