Nancy Lee Hendley was a Postcards from the Edge discovery for me. One of those moments where you buy a piece blindly, fall for it, and only later learn who made it.
Hendley told me she “paints with sequins,” and it shows. Even at postcard scale, which she shared was a real challenge since her work is typically much larger, the piece feels dense, deliberate, and fully alive.
Her work also lives in the in between. Is it a face or a figure? Frontside or backside? Image or object? Hendley leans into that ambiguity and lets the piece hover at the edges, where identity and perception stay fluid.
