After 7 years, we witness a project that transformed a culture of death into a culture of life. Yesterday, we inaugurated three symbols of hope and coexistence in Mosul’s Old City:
🕌 Al-Nuri Grand Mosque with its iconic leaning Al-Hadba Minaret
⛪ Al-Tahira Church
🕒 Our Lady of the Hour (Clock Tower) Church
Once destroyed by Daesh, these landmarks have now been rebuilt brick by brick under UNESCO’s “Revive the Spirit of Mosul” initiative, led and funded by the UAE.
This project goes beyond architecture.. it restores faith, identity, and cultural diversity. Mosul’s skyline now carries a message of resilience: minarets rise, church bells ring, and communities come together to heal.
Thank you to the people of Mosul.
