Back in Cologne: «Confidence» is the title of a charity concert in aid of the Cologne initiative «Wir helfen» («We help») whose aim it is to set less privilged children on the right path from an early age. On the program for this matinée at @koelnerphilharmonie : Brahms‘ «Deutsches Requiem», with @christinalandshamer , @guerzenichorchester , @ndr.ve , WDR Rundfunkchor under baton of Andrès Orozco-Estrada.

This song cycle must therefore be given very personal space,” says baritone @nagybaritone , who sings Jörg Widmann’s song cycle based on Schumann’s Dichterliebe with the FRSO.

Just finished the general rehearsal for tonight‘s Schumann / Widmann concert here at amazingly sunny Helsinki. What a privilege it ist to join the marvellous musicians of @yle_rso to perform Jörg Widmann‘s view on Schumann‘s «Dichterliebe» - with Jörg Widmann himself conducting.
From Rome to Helsinki: This week with the Radion sinfoniaorkesteri - @yle_rso Orchestra and Jörg Widmann at beautiful @musiikkitalo in Helsinki! And the program is very special, asides from Schumann‘s 2nd Symphony there will be the Finnish premiere of «Schumannliebe» by Jörg Widmann himself - Schumann’s song cycle, instrumentated for small orchestra, witty, full of sounding irony and comments. Greatly looking forward, even though this blow-up image is in fact a little intimidating…
