Bottari is that enigmatic fragrance: ambrette, musk, moss base with akigalawood. A minimalist, sharp, edged with an ambroxic glow.
And let me share a thought on the mild cleansing oil from Muji. One cleansing oil I’ve loved as an alternative to the iconic ones from Shu
but only in its original formula.
In Japan, you’ll now only find the reformulated, and let’s be honest… it’s not the same.
Irritated eyes, a different texture it’s a gentle no from my skin.
But if you’re in Europe or travelling, you can still get your hands on the original version.
And honestly? Save a bottle or two.

Wabi-sabi has been resonating deeply with me this month a quiet reminder of what Japan keeps bringing into my life.
The grace of imperfection guided by intuition, shaping something new. Something that carries its own form of beauty perhaps not the one we expected, but as they say, beauty lives in the eye of the beholder.
Today, while opening my Dropbox folders, I stumbled upon a forgotten series I never shared one of many. Life is often made of these accidental encounters that lead us onto new paths, and today I chose to revisit this memory.
It was years ago, in a time when I was constantly traveling between the US and London where this shoot happened. A chapter from my life where I worked endlessly on shoots, giving so much of myself. I only received the raw images years later. The photographer renowned at the time, published in @dazed and @schonmagazine And yet, what we expect is not always what we project. It was during that period that I learned to detach myself from the image, from expectations, from the illusion of control.
For this shoot, even setting a date was a struggle. The stylist had crafted wrinkled white shirts into origami-like pieces. And I vividly remember the disastrous moment when the hairstylist ruined my hair for two whole weeks by spraying what was supposed to be black hair spray but turned in fact to black paint, literal paint. It took forever to strip it out and ruined my hair for weeks. Sometimes we sacrifice ourselves for art… or maybe we shouldn’t.
And today, I’m sharing this memory with you.

She’s lost under the spell of the blue moon again and doesn’t want to be found.
Today, we step together into the Flower Moon vibe, wrapped in the quiet promise of the coming Blue Moon, and we let its glow set the tone. A lily and blue campanula bouquet, drifting in cool chromatic whispers, and two of my current powder obsessions: the La Prairie powder and the Mikimoto Moon Pearl highlighter melting into the skin to create that glass-skin, moon-kissed vampire sheen.
And what could be more fitting for this than a cup of one of my favorite gyokuros?
A rare gem from Kurihara a tea crowned multiple times at the Japan National Tea Competition. This Dentou Hon Gyokuro, a protected designation from Yame in southern Fukuoka, follows strict rules and is of course hand-picked. A fragrant, delicate delight, almost luminous in its depth.
To complete the ritual, I’m sipping it from my latest ceramic crush by local artist Atelier Moho: a black and blue design that seems to echo the entire mood of the month.
And with my rumirock pelican kimono belt.

Activity of the day: calligraphy and tea.
I may be a social creature, but I cherish my quiet moments just as deeply. There’s something soothing about discovering new hobbies calligraphy being my latest while letting time slow down with a warm cup of tea in my hands. Each stroke is a reminder to exist with intention, each curve a gentle pause between two moments.
The pen was gifted to me by my closest friend from 房主敬白.
Tea of the day: Gyokuro Tsuyu no Homare from Horii Shichimeien.
An exceptional gyokuro award-winning, with a luminous umami and a richness that unfolds without the slightest astringency. A tea that feels like velvet on the palate, soft enough to soothe even my insomnia-driven nights.

Serving spring on a plate, my own way.
Spring is here, and it’s time to reset the skincare game with lighter textures.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been using the Cellology Blue Eraser serum with built-in blue light. At first, I thought it was just another gimmicky product, but it’s actually a bestseller at Olive Young and now I understand why. I genuinely enjoy using it.
Originally, it’s a serum designed to control sebum for acne-prone skin, and paired with blue light you can get great results. But I personally use it as a calming serum: the micro-spicules and tea tree leaf extract make it perfect. The micro-vibration feature (in my opinion) isn’t necessary at all, and the device runs on batteries. That quite easy to replace.
And never forget sunscreen! Right now, I use the Shiseido stick for touch-ups and it’s really nice.
With spring and summer on the way, it’s also time to switch to gel-like textures without compromising hydration — so an hyaluronic serum or lotion is always a must. I’m currently using the one from Mixsoon.
I’m also reaching the end of my beloved Shu Uemura limited lipstick, paired with my fav clear Byredo lip gloss.
Best fragrance of the day: Hinoki by Bottega.

Art to kill the boredom at @museesmarseille
When you’re hyperactive like me and you need constant stimulation doing 12,000 things a day just to feel alive, it gets really hard to be in the south of France where nothing big happens, apart from enjoying the sun and the sea.
So I decided to visit the contemporary art museum, freshly reopened after its renovation. It was a pleasant visit, and in the permanent collection you can find works by César Baldaccini, Arman, Franz West, Paul Thek, Martial Raysse, Friedl Dicker-Brandeis, Giuseppe Penone, Jochen Gerz, François Morellet.
Don’t get me wrong it’s a museum on the smaller side, but if you need to elevate your mind in Marseille, it’s a nice stop.
