Gridiron Gems Launches Gems Cluster Mentorship Programme
The Gridiron Gems Initiative has introduced the Gems Cluster Mentorship Programme, a structured platform designed to support the development of girls and young women within and beyond the American football ecosystem in Nigeria.
At its core is a collaborative mentorship network that connects athletes, professionals, partners, and mentors, providing guidance, exposure, and access to opportunities across sport, leadership, and career development.
The programme addresses the gap in mentorship and structured pathways for girls in sport through mentor matching, regular sessions, and leadership-focused workshops that promote continuous growth.
Its multi-cluster structure, including Jades, Emeralds, Diamonds, Amethysts, Aquamarine, and the Pearl Squad, creates a well-rounded support system for participants.
Through this initiative, Gridiron Gems continues to advance inclusiveness, leadership development, and long-term opportunities for girls in sport.
