We were kept waiting a little, but here we are, back with the big noise.
Zoukak Theatre and Frequent Defect join forces for a very special showcase, inviting you to a massive night of musical deliverance.
This event also marking Frequent Defect’s 9-year anniversary, a full-circle moment that brings us back to what united us in the beginning. To celebrate, we’re bringing together a sublime lineup of heavyweights, artists who’ve stood at the core of some of our most cherished movements, carrying forward the sound and spirit that define them.
Among them are two visionary figures whose work has profoundly shaped the global landscape of experimental electronic music: Ben Frost and Kode9.
Ben Frost, known for his visceral sonic architecture and boundary-pushing compositions, continues to explore the thresholds of intensity and emotion through his raw, immersive sound worlds.
Ben will also be collaborating with Zoukak on their upcoming theatre performance Three Verses of Solitude, showing at Al Madina Theatre on November 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, a must-see for those following his multidisciplinary practice (link in bio to reserve for the performance).
Kode9, founder of the pioneering label Hyperdub, has been a driving force in expanding the language of bass and electronic culture, bridging philosophy, sound design, and dancefloor futurism.
From Amman, Mayss delivers a cathartic and emotionally charged dance set, while rayane ventures into her distinctive clang and texture. Bakisa sets things off with his usual supergroove, and june as brings it home with his inimitable style of rawness and spirit. The evergreen Jad Atoui and NÂR will present their singular live sets, reimagined for a night of extra grit and intention.
