Over the years, I have had some almost mystical experiences in front of the Mayan. In those moments, it felt like artist, music, lights, lasers, the people and the playa were all one. I was deep into the set looking up in awe at Acid Pauli, Ref Axes or Rebolledo among others.
I played this set for the art car and the playa. I wanted it to sound grandiose and expansive, and many tracks I played here, I wouldn’t play anywhere else. I am happy it sounds authentically me.
For this set, I wanted my sound to honor how Mayan has influenced me over the years - guitars, indie dance, spacey sounds - but I also wanted to bring a bit of how my sound has changed lately, after regular visits to play in Berlin and also a new love for high bpm house music. I felt great when I stepped in. I wanted to be aggressive. Played many new tracks, took some quirky turns and risked the mixing. As with every set, it is hard to take it out of context but It shows exactly how I felt that night. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed it back then.

Off to Switzerland this week 🛫🛬
5 days, 6 gigs of all colours. From a secret ramen speak easy to a helipad. 2 photos taken. Spending time with lots of friends I love. Meeting hundreds of people of which I remember two names. Laughing to the floor at parties. Seeing some close friends rocking insane parties (@mira_kater@nicopoveromo , @wearechambord , @parallelle_ , @madotamusic , @alko.nyc .). And of course spending quality time with my love @madmotormiquel . And not only behind the decks, but also complaining on the dancefloor - shall we put a limit to edits??
I love you Mexico, and the best part of it, its people. Thank you to all my Mexas: for always making me feel at home, helping me find gigs and supporting me. You know who you are, it’s so many at this stage that if I list you I’m gonna miss some people.
