The Scented Garden.
Cambridge University Botanic Garden.
A very good collaboration with @cam_colours today at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden, where I discussed with participants how I made paint pigments from herbs growing in my first herb garden over 25 years ago.
Many thanks to Cassie, John and Daniel from CamColours for pulling everything together.

Iris germanica, or simply the medieval purple Iris. A good green paint pigment can be made by processing the fleur de lys flowers.
I list several recipes in my book pp.163-167.

Outside the LuEsther T Mertz Library, which is one of the largest botanical libraries in the world. They have an excellent and comprehensive book collection with their oldest Latin manuscript dating back to the 12th century. A very big garden to explore, full of wonderful plants, shrubs and trees.
