Weighing only 54g, this steering wheel spacer is machined from 6061 Aluminum and is anodized in a satin black finish. It’ll bring your steering wheel 20mm closer and can help with clearance to the control stalks on your steering column.
We have also added semi-circle clearances to run small gauge wires through to buttons, horns, paddles, and other accessories that may be mounted on a racing steering wheel for a tidy look.
The profile and surface finish perfectly mates up with Krontec quick releases, among others. This is a universal fit product.
Compatible with all 74mm 6 bolt PCD steering wheels that utilize an M5 bolt which covers most modern racing wheels being produced today.

(Part 3)
We missed session 1 on Saturday as we didn’t have the wheels and tires on in time to go out, although it was probably a bit too cold to really get the tires in the optimal window for a fast lap. Session 2 came around, and I put down a 2:24.7, already besting by time form last year by 3 seconds. But I also knew the car had way more in it.
We gradually dialed in more wing and tweaked the sway bar settings to improve both low and high speed balance. By session 3, I had dropped another 2 seconds. And by the last session (and more setup changes), I set what I didn’t know would be my fastest time of the weekend, a 2:22.110.
I got a full night of sleep on Saturday and felt great waking up on Sunday. The morning session was very slick due to low track temps. The car also seemed like it was a bit down on power, but that seemed to be pervasive across the paddock. My trap speeds on the back straight were consistently in the 156mph range regardless of what line I took out of turn 11, whereas they were closer to 159.5mph on Saturday.
The car felt phenomenal by mid-Sunday. However, an on track oil spill from another competitor meant grip was compromised in some of the highest speed corners. I put down a 2:22.181 after some oversteer moments in turn 12 and 17 due to the slick conditions. A few hundredths off Saturday’s best time. The car had a 2:21 in it for sure, but it wasn’t in the cards.
I am happy with the results given the conditions and circumstances. Obviously, I’m my own biggest critic, but those around me have provided some perspective and reminded me that we had a hell of a week just getting the car there! The weekend has reinvigorated my drive and I am looking forward to this season.
I hope to come back to COTA next year and to the next events this season better prepared and well rested!

(Part 2)
I started Friday on a bit of the back leg as I arrived at the track 3 minutes before the driver’s meeting while the team (the wonderful @kapolinario and @honestassembly ) unloaded the car and tools off the trailer. I had been running on probably less than a cumulative 10 hours of sleep over the 4 days prior to that due to all the last minute prep and delays we had. It was all really a blur, but by 1PM Friday, none of that really mattered and our focus was now setting up the car for the weekend.
Friday practice went well, for the most part. A spin out of the carousel at 100mph told me we needed way more wing angle. I am thankful for all the paved runoff out there! We finished the session with in the 2:27s on some 6 day old tires.
Unfortunately, within the first 10 laps, we already encountered a major issue. The front splitter decided to free itself from the front mounting points (we were either sent the wrong brackets, or the mounts were designed without anyone ever test fitting them on a real car at a high speed track), so Friday night was spent perusing the local Home Depot for metric hardware and steel square tube to reinforce the mounting points. Luckily, it wasn’t a catastrophic failure. We had to make due with filling the gaps with some gaffers tape, in true time attack fashion. By the time we were done, I went to bed at 4am and was back up at 6am to meet the tire guys to throw some sticker tires on.
I was told to tip toe around the track to make sure the splitter didn’t fly off, but everyone knows the best shot at setting a good lap time is during the morning sessions. Luckily, our bandaid fix lasted the weekend.

Day 1 of SLB COTA in the books. We’ve spent countless hours prepping and tweaking the GT3 for this event. Slowly heading in the right direction with setup changes to get the car handling just right. Hoping to shave a few more seconds of lap time tomorrow. The track is much faster than last year with the new repave, and I believe this car should easily be capable of a sub 2:20 lap time in its current trim.
See y’all in the morning!

Look for us at @superlapbattle COTA this weekend! We will be campaigning our 991 GT3 in the Limited class which has a huge field this year. Can’t wait to see you all there.

BMW F87 M2 (and M2C) and F22 hood vents are live on our website! We have a couple of sets out in the wild and will have installed photos soon. The turbo generation cars need all the engine bay cooling they can get to prevent heat soak and maximize power. As always, our designs are custom tailored to each chassis, so they will flow with the design of the car and fitment issues are non-existent. #bmw #bmwf87 #bmwf87m2 #bmwm2 #bmwf22 #m235i #m240i
Has it been almost 2 weeks already? Either take me back, or warp me into next year already!
