Grateful, that’s the word. I’m exactly where I need to be.
It’s so easy to get lost reaching for the stars that we forget to appreciate how far we’ve already come. Any growth (physical, mental, emotional, financial) deserves to be celebrated. And the greatest stories and lessons? They almost always come from the hardest struggles.
Yes, I’ve made mistakes. But a mistake doesn’t make me a failure. In 24 years I’ve gained, lost, learned and lived, and I’m grateful for all of it. The friends, the experiences, the hobbies, the risks I took and the ones I didn’t. The bad decisions and the good ones. Every single piece of it brought me right here, and this is exactly where I’m supposed to be.
And maybe you’re in that same place, still figuring it out, still becoming. It’s tempting to look at someone else’s journey and measure yours against it, but everyone’s path is different. Be inspired by others, just don’t be discouraged because your story doesn’t look like theirs. Your journey is yours alone. Bask in the positives, learn from the negatives, and remember, the goal was never to be better than anyone else. It’s to be better for yourself and the people around you.
