Altadena, a tender place and community here in LA, has welcomed (back) Betsy, formerly Bernee. This quaint, community-centric spot is centered around live-fire cooking and excellent service. Nestled among the remnants of burned homes and destroyed businesses, Betsy’s aim is to help lead neighborhood recovery and find purpose in the aftermath of the Eaton Fires. I have full confidence they will be a strong North Star for the future of Altadena, judging not only by their spirit of hope, but also by the sheer quality of the intentional experience they provide. I can’t recommend Betsy enough, as every dish offers a delightful, heartfelt surprise.
A sand-filled, dirt-caked, unforgettable journey was had this past week as we traveled across the northwest with @nitrocircus athletes @dustywygle and @kurtisdowns thanks to @buschbeer 🏔️ Humbled to have worked with and learned from two killer videographers @blainleblanc and @andrew_rurik - not to mention the crime podcast loving @savhalleyy who helped bring it all together. Can’t wait to Head for the Mountains again soon!
