All photos were taken with @sonyphinc cinema fx model with a 70-200 mm lens. Honestly, this combo weighs probably the same as a standard DSLR with a kit lens and is just 10% of the weight of the current brand I own.
As a theater enthusiast, I will always say yes to the mere mention of THE name âLea Salonga,â even when I donât have an idea of âwhatâ.
Iâm so grateful to be part of this (thanks, Ernest!) since itâs a âLegends Onlyâ type of play. It is very different from the usual play, and is a visual presentation of the reality of someone living alone.
The first two photos were taken on Day 3 of rehearsals. I sat two rows away from Lea. I felt like I didnât have enough shots in that area, so I decided to sit and shoot from there. I stopped walking around, and thatâs when I realized that her routine was so familiar. I felt the emotions in her eyes without saying a word. As someone who is alone most of the time, I saw myself in her routine. After the shoot, I needed to walk around the mall before going home and read some messages from my nieces to shake off the âlonelyâ feeling. I am also grateful to Pam @pamelabaizas for teaching me techniques on how to handle my emotions and this kind of energy after being drained. Pam is a hypnotherapist and is really good at what she does.
Anyway, Dolly De Leon will be a different story. Will start sorting photos and my feelings now.

This is my first time watching Dolly De Leon on a theater stage. I often see her as an audience supporting other shows, accommodating everyone who recognizes her. Seeing her act in Request Sa Radyo is like watching a different person.

Light, Theory, and the Face: A Portrait Photography Workshop brings together reflection and practice through a one-day program on portrait photography.
The program begins with "Photography as a Phenomenology of the Face", a lecture and discussion by Mr. Antonni D. Cuesta @toni_cuesta . This will be followed by "Laro", a lighting workshop and open shoot led by Ms. Myra Ho @myra_ho in collaboration with The House of Galore @thehouseofgaloreph .
This program is co-presented by Ayala Foundation and Kontempo Community Studio, in collaboration with All Girls Photowalk PH @allgirlsphotowalk_ph and Visual Storyteller PH @visualstoryteller.ph . The project is also supported by Sandisk APAC @sandiskapac and Ayala Malls Circuit Makati.

I took a break from my usual shoots to explore and photograph this classic #brutalist building. The photowalk organized by @treynapr was led by @patrick_kasingsing , who made the event hassle-free and turned it into an afternoon of learning about every part of #picc.

A twinbill that you should not miss this April. Floy Quintosâ masterpieces leap from page to stage with a perfect cast and an awesome technical team.
The camera used to shoot this is the Canon R6 from @canonphils . I used a wide-angle lens to test the output quality after cropping, and the camera did not disappoint.
I usually watch plays to escape reality, but most of the time, theater stories remind me of worlds I hope to help prevent from happening in our future reality. If you watch this twinbill, I hope it will also remind you of why we should not give up on educating voters.
