When the Music Matters Most, Moments are made. @myguy_wayne and I imagined this week happening in 2024 at IBE, when we heard and met @nobunagalewing for the first time. Visioning a week of events where we create a series of events based off of the DJ, and now that it’s all said and done, I’m so inspired to continue down this journey!!! Thank you to everyone who came out to support us at Versus, Skill check, 31Svn Kids Battle, or Boilerbreakers 20 year Anniversary!!! This week has been one for the books. IBE has influenced my life yet once again. It’s given me the opportunity to put my passion on display at an international level and see where I land. Myself and @seoulvsoul was able to rank pretty well among the 416 global dancers (57th in my group) and Seoul even made top 16 for the 35 and up “Timeless Titans” Battle. Most importantly, repping our Stylin’ Out Squad on the other side of the planet has us hype to continue taking our crew, our network, and our community to new heights. Special thanks to my brother, Seoul. The way we motivate each other, travel across all the cities, states, countries, and the world together, the way we support each other in this dance, and in life overall, is something that makes me feel so blessed in this human experience.

I have 0 desire to be a father figure. Not to a child. Not even to a dog. But 7 years ago Vella came into my life, and being responsible for her has shaped me forever. In the silence of our routines, she made a home inside my character. It wasn’t just the training. It’s the reflecting. Every moment she didn’t “listen” Is a moment to ask myself—are you? Are you present? Are you clear? Are you kind? “How am I showing up for her” became a daily attitude. A question that spilled into how I show up- For myself. For others. For the future I claim to want. She taught me a true love that doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t quit. Doesn’t fold when things don’t feel good. She’s not less because she’s not human. She’s proof that the spirit lives in many forms. And when you choose to care for one, you become responsible for the world they believe & live in. So yeah, Happy Father’s Day. But really—this is a thank you. To all the beings, human or not, who teach us to stay. To soften. To lead. And to love, without conditions. To my soul-mate & my dogter, Vella. I love you & I love being your parent.

A kid born to the hood of Chicago. Poor and set up to be another statistic. As a teen I was saved by the DJ and the dance floor. Fast forward 18 years, I’ve traveled all over the world, performed on stages, won competitions all over America, met some of the most beautiful people from all walks of life, and found a circle of people that I can honestly call family. I owe my heart to this dance. Breakin’ and this culture is my passion. Now in my adult years, I do a lot more competition organizing, audience engagement, and other big man tasks. Most importantly, I’ve returned to the source of having fun, creating unity, promoting peace and love in one other and genuine love for ourselves.

For closer to 2 years now I’ve been a fitness coach for Equinox Chicago Loop coaching clients in one of the most prestigious establishments in the world. Working on a team of coaches that is easily the best team of quality well rounded trainers in Chicago hands down, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from and study under some of the most respected coaches I could ever meet, allowing me to elevate my ability to help people reach their goals and continue changing lives forever. I’ve spent the past 12 or so years connected to training and the fitness industry in some way, shape, or form. Most of you reading this have known me for a long time. You’ve watched me become who I am today. You are the witness to my hard work and genuinely becoming a stronger person-physically, emotionally, and mentally. Some may think I’ve always been lucky or strong, but the truth is that it has been an entire life’s journey for me-to whom I owe infinite thanks to so many people. This is why my passion for being a resource in helping others fight to reach their best self is unyielding.
