The food in Macedonia was not a surprise for me as I knew it would be good after travelling to so many other Balkan countries and enjoying the food 🍲🇲🇰
Here is a list of places I ate and you should save 💾 📌
In Skopje, Macedonia 🇲🇰
🍖 MEDO in Skopje: I ordered Kilo Tava & Shopska Salad
🍕 Restaurant Kolektiv: I ordered Pork Pastrmajlija
🫓 Old Bazaar Ćevapi with local beans
🍔 Fat Kitchen Bistro: Crinkle fries & cheeseburger
🍖 Restaurant Old House: Lamb leg & black pancake strudel
In Ohrid, Macedonia 🇲🇰
🐟 Restaurant Kaneo: I ordered Fresh trout with potato salad (10/10 easily my best meal)
🥩 Restaurant Damar: Grandma’s Pan
In Tetovo, Macedonia 🇲🇰
🥤 M House: I ordered a fresh juice & a brownie with cream
Save this before your trip to North Macedonia
Have you ever tried Macedonian food? Which of these dishes would you try? 👇🏽
Unpopular opinion, but I think the Balkans countries are the best to visit in the region of Europe. Swipe to see my honest views of every Balkan country I’ve visited.

Wooooow Ohrid has genuinely been the highlight of my entire North Macedonia trip so far (besides the food ofc 😅 🍽️).
Ohrid is about a 2-3 hour drive from Skopje and it HAS to be on your list for when you visit.
It’s known as the ‘Pearl of Macedonia’ 🇲🇰 and is one of Europe’s oldest and deepest lakes and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.
Fun Fact: the old town dates back to the 7th century and legend has it there are 365 churches one for every day of the year ⛪️
Have you ever even heard of this place? 👇
Still can’t get over this place 😩 Matka Canyon, Macedonia 🇲🇰🚤
The name “Matka” actually means “womb” in Macedonian, representing the source of life.
The canyon is also home to several medieval monasteries dating back to the 13th and 14th century, where people have been coming to find peace, purpose and spiritual connection for hundreds of years. 🙏🏽
Happy Sunday everyone, hope you have a blessed week ahead 🙏🏽 🥹
Oh my gosh?😅 isn’t this place just sooo beautiful. This is Matka Canyon in Macedonia 🇲🇰 and is less than 30 minutes from the capital Skopje.
It’s free to enter (free parking) and only around £4/$6 for a boat ride that lasts around 30-40 mins. You can also go kayaking! 🚣
Worth noting there are no Ubers in Macedonia so the best way to get here from the city is:
🚌 Bus 60 (they are like the old school London buses watch my stories to spot them!)
🚕 Taxi / car rental is probably the easiest option
Best time to visit is between March to October for the best views 🌿
Is this somewhere you would go? 👇 (Save this for when you visit Macedonia 📌 🇲🇰)
🇲🇰 Здраво (Hello) 👋 from Macedonia (country 67) known for being over 85% mountainous with over 34 mountain peaks higher than 2,000 meters!
I have thoroughly enjoyed exploring this underrated European gem, and I’m sure you are ready to explore it with me too?
Have you ever been? Let me know in the comments 👇 👀
They say that you are what you eat, so at this point I might actually be pistachio 😭💚
This is no longer a coincidence it’s actually a lifestyle. If I see pistachio on the menu, it’s already mine.
Be honest with me, is this an obsession or do I just have taste? 👀 #pistacchiolovers #pistachiobakery #pistachioobsession
This is Picasso in Sliema, Malta 🇲🇹
They do amazing mocktails, cocktails and cook the carbonara right in front of you it’s so delicious 🤤 and it has the view of Valletta which is an added bonus.
Save this for when you have a trip to Malta 🇲🇹 📌

📍Day 2 - Tirana to Sarandë
📍Day 3 - Sarandë to Ksamil
📍Day 4 - Ksamil to Vlorë
