It was the closing out of the Pride Festival last night, but my pride as a gay parent will never close out. Watching Blaiselle throw their ALL into this festival with passion, kindness and always jazz hands, makes me beyond proud as a mother and a friend.

Today is the last day of opening weekend for Mārama, a Gothic Maori Revenge Horror. This film is beyond powerful and I'm very proud of the work me and my team put into it. It's the kind of film you should really see on a big screen with great sound to fully emerse yourself in the story and the journey. Treat yourself on this wild windy Sunday

What a time it’s been since we got home from holidays. As I’m getting back to work tomorrow I was looking back at what the month has had for me.
Some fun catch ups with all the loves at the start of the month and a bit of decorating and organising. Having been away from home for so long I was looking forward to nesting and spending time in the house, I definitely didn’t think that I’d be laying around eating bonbons and recovering from surgery.
Looking forward to getting Life going and being out in the world again.

I keep dreaming about meat being sliced while I’m dozing in my codeine naps.
Almost a week since my surgery, a week of sour squirms and jelly tip chocolate, of shadows and ceilings and sunlight and clouds.
Perfect bedside chats with tea and biscuits.
Another week of healing and resting.
Of weaning from the meds that have helped with the pain but have made me feel uneasy in my sobriety. Hopefully leaving behind the meat slicing dreams too.
I'll be here being quiet and still and resting.
