that moment when you come all the way out to central to hang with ur friend at 3pm but you arrive just as she's rushing out the door of the cafe in a mad stress about a family emergency and you know you can't go with her to help because she hates seeing how her folks behave around you so she tells you to stay in the area so you walk down the road a little bit until you find an interesting doorway and you walk into the dimly lit space to find that it's a bar-nightclub that just opened up for the day and they say the dj hasn't arrived for work yet and offer to play a record for you on their old fashioned analogue mixing desk because it's that kind of place and you ask to see the vinyl sleeve cause it doesn't look familiar and they say yes so you go and sit down at a table and look at it but the staffer has just popped on the new record and turned on the whole deck by the plug without realizing the other turntable is also set to on so now you're sitting there listening to an impromptu mashup of Sappho's Poems by Beirut and the McCartney's Uncle Albert and are having too much of a religious experience hearing how perfectly it goes together to point out that both tracks are playing and risk them turning off this unlikely angelsong

this video wouldn't exist without inspiration from my uni friends, fabulous dance instrictor @xelortega and iconic fashion designer @darcy_w.mp3 routinely sharing their music tastes, so thank them for inadvertently creating the moment where I started listening to Uncle Albert after seeing it on Darcy's story and went back to Xel's story and heard Sappho's Poems playing at the same time. Something sounded vibes even though the two were in different keys so I went and bought both songs specifically so I could slow Beirut down by three semitones. The full mashup requires Beirut to be played twice and it kind of falls apart at the Admiral Halsey section so I just kept it to the Uncle Albert section. Hope it was as nice to listen to as it was to make...

It's been months since I graduated and I might be going back for PhD, but this was the first day I truly no longer felt like a student, but a teacher. Standing up in front of a group of people seemed ordinary yet exciting to my brain, even though my body was freaking out with massive anxiety for the first few minutes for some reason (didn't even feel as nervous doing that stage show last year, maybe it was because I didn't know anyone there besides LJ). Thankfully I went back to normal soon after. Clearly this facilitator needs to book some more sessions to get back into the workshop headspace. Invites from theatre companies and writing collectives welcome.
I'd also like to thank @csm_performance_screen and @gabrielatropia for educating me to the point where I can confidently teach a room full of people the many ways we can bring Screen(s) into the theatre space.

My Xbox One had to do a 31.76gb update to AC:Syndicate and my WiFi is really slow so I used the spare time to unify General Relativity with Quantum Dynamics rq, I came across a couple books by Julian Barbour and his revision of the timeless universe sparked inspiration
