Daphne appreciation post!! Our girl graduated from her Basic Manners & Obedience class tonight and we are so proud of her! We’ve all learned a lot the last 6 weeks. She is the sweetest girl and has been an awesome addition to our family! We love our girl and her goofy underbite🥹🫶🏼
My first APTA CSM conference was incredible! I am beyond grateful for the APTA scholarship that covered my registration and travel expenses granting me the opportunity to attend as a first year student! I wouldn’t have been able to have this experience without it.🥹
The last few days were filled with educational sessions, time wandering the exhibit hall, learning about new research, and the chance to meet and spend time with other DPTs, PTAs, and students. This may have been my first CSM, but it definitely won’t be my last! 😁
Sessions attended:
✨ Core to Floor: Bridging Birth Specific Training into Traditional Musculoskeletal Rehab for Moms Who Move
✨ Think Outside the Pelvis: Top Down and Bottoms up!
✨ Raising the Bar: Design Surgical Protocols in Women’s Health
✨ How Risky Is Physical Activity during a High-Risk Pregnancy?
✨ Clinical & Practical Considerations for Rehabilitating the Competitive Strength Athlete

Happy birthday to my favorite guy! I love the life we’ve built together and I’m lucky to have a such a patient, kind, and loving partner by my side. Thanks for everything you do, Kevin! I love you so much and so do our sweet pups!🥰
The first 2 semesters of DPT school are officially in the books! The last 5.5 months have been challenging but also incredibly rewarding. I couldn’t have done it without my husband, our families, and my amazing classmates. Grateful to have 60 new friends to go on this journey with!
Since starting the program in June, I’ve done A LOT including:
✅ 28 credit hours with a ✨4.0✨
✅ 34 exams across lecture and lab
✅ 100+ hours in the cadaver lab between dissecting and studying
✅ 37 powerlifting workouts
✅ 29 yoga classes as a teacher
✅ 26 yoga classes as a student
✅ countless meetings, study sessions, group projects, papers, and even some fun along the way!
Our first Thanksgiving as a family of 4🧡
We adopted Daphne about 6 weeks ago and she’s been fitting right in! She’s about 10 months old and Lenny is about 10 years old now. They’ve become fast friends, and we are so grateful to @maciecarolann and @as.ryan.does for bringing her into our lives!🥰
Happy 8 year adoption anniversary, Lenny! We’ve been through so much together over the years and I can’t imagine my life without you, sweet boy! Here’s to many more years together🫶🏼
We had a little one-on-one time this morning walking around college hill park, going for a car ride, and getting a sonic pup cup. Peep the last pic for Lenny’s post-ice cream beard😆
Life has been feeling a little extra hard lately. The days are getting shorter, my workload in grad school is getting heavier, and I’ve been having trouble prioritizing self-care. I finally got back in the gym yesterday after (unintentionally) taking 2 weeks off. Proud of myself for showing up! Next on my list is some time in the yoga studio this weekend😌
The workout:
Cluster set deadlift
-185lbs x 1 rep x 4 sets with 45-60s between sets
RPE: ~6
Ascending pause deadlift
-155lbs x 4 reps x 3 sets
RPE: ~6
Competition pause bench
-82.7lbs x 3 reps x 1 sets
RPE: 7.5
-77.2lbs x 3 reps x 2 sets
RPE: 6.5
Double date night was one for the books! We had dinner at Fio Rito followed by wine and homemade pumpkin cookies at Madison and Ryan’s gorgeous home! I wish I had taken more photos, but the pre-hair and makeup mirror selfie will have to do😆
Congratulations Andy and Brit!!
It was a beautiful wedding and you two are easy to celebrate! My brother is a lucky guy and I’m so excited to have a sister-in-law who is kind, thoughtful, and effortlessly cool. We love you both so much!🥹🫶🏼
