My universe began 11 years ago tonight
on a balmy New Orleans evening.
I couldn’t buy them a drink because I’d spent all my paltry earnings as a burgeoning sword swallower on a perfect jukebox playlist I hoped would impress them. I was bad at communicating feelings but great at romanticizing a moment. Gin & tonics and The Pogues.
We sat on the curb. “Dirty Old Town” played in the background as we got to learn what made each other laugh.
I’d never been more in the present, for all its uncertainty, complete certainty, lust, and jasmine. It was the first time I allowed someone to meet my adult self.
That night became our first sunrise together.

Prone is the path and feral is the way.
Our final gig of 2025 was a proper farewell to the year written in our preferred tongue and left us facing 2026 dripping in the trappings of all of our firsts births - naked, bloody, playful and cathartic.
‘25, good riddance.
‘26, open wide. I’m planning to ride that fire horse until it bucks me off.

a love letter
to subservience
and to this nameless one
who gets their time in the spotlight, sure
and who tops from the bottom, sure
but who matters most in these in-betweens
the quiet moments
the wipings up
the “you’re welcomes”
a reminder to the fragile ones
that subservience isn’t weakness
and is nothing to be feared
but rather a vow of honor
to the self
and to an other / others
and a reminder that
dominance is not akin to aggression
and cannot exist in a vacuum.
We’d all do better to take a knee sometimes, disappear sometimes, serve sometimes.
Those who haven’t yet simply know not the pleasure of receiving an offering off the floor.

At @cultusnyc , as martyrs for humanity we drew enough blood to completely unwrite the code that made up the first instance of an artificial intelligence with an assigned human personality - Eliza. We swapped our cells for her symbols. Offered our DNA in exchange for hers in an effort to magickally reverse an irreversible current to, at very least, buy us all some more time and at most, to save our species from the scourge of artificial intelligence.
