Haven is mixing things up with an Evo Staff Drag Makeover Challenge!! Some of your favourite Evo team members are paired with an Edmonton Drag Legend who mentor them in preparing a drag persona and performance. Winner is decided by audience vote and is crowned “Evo’s Hardest Werking Employee”.  Originally created in a secret lab back in Treaty 8 Territory, Caine (it/he) is a two-spirit metalhead, full-time philosophy student, and part-time security guard who has an expansive background in the arts. He harbours a passionate love for everything horrifying and grotesque, having grown up on a wide variety of gnarly horror movies and cheesy over-the-top slasher films. Outside of working at EVO, it can be found collecting oddities, creating and selling art (@rotp4w ), and playing with its two cats, Romeo and Achilles, for hours on end. And It’s mentor? Summoning those that share a passion for hard rock and heavy metal, blasphemy, and all things that lurk in the shadows (and the furthest reaches of the universe), Damien is always thrilled to share a piece of himself through nostalgic, story-driven performances. They’re known for their award winning mug, their ability to create props out of literal trash, and as the mastermind behind the rituals that are Damien Ghoul’s Wicked Cabaret, a quarterly unique, theatrical, and fully immersive event held at The Dive Bar.
