Every volunteer brings their own skills, experience and vibe to MVNS, helping create a welcoming, caring and connected space for our community. It’s these individual qualities, personalities and shared generosity that make MVNS so special.
Behind so much of what happens at MVNS are volunteers quietly helping, supporting others and creating connection within our community. Your generosity does not go unnoticed.

A huge thank you to ABC Rural for visiting MVNS and broadcasting the Country Hour from our centre! 🎙️💚
It was wonderful to welcome the team and hear the important conversations happening across our farming communities. We’re especially proud of our amazing Kate for taking part in the discussion and helping share local voices and experiences.
While there were plenty of inspiring stories shared, it was also a reminder that many in our farming community are still doing it tough. We’re grateful to everyone who spoke so openly and honestly.

Neighbourhood Centres are often the heart of the community.

🌱 Our Community Gardens are helping turn scraps into something amazing!
You may notice some of our compost bins and worm farms are labelled:

If a bin says “Resting”, please do not add anything to it at this time — it simply means it’s doing its job and needs a little break. 😊
Community members are welcome to add suitable scraps to the bins and worm farms, we just ask that everyone follows the directions on each one to help keep our system healthy and working well for the gardens.
Together we can reduce waste and help our gardens grow! 🌻

🥕🍓 Today we had the amazing Mia and Charlie, nutrition students from Griffith University, cooking up some delicious and nutritious treats for our community!
While I was informed they’re still considered a “sometimes food” 🤭 they did manage to sneak some fruit and veggies in there too!
The best part? They’ve shared the fantastic recipes so you can give them a go at home yourself. 👩🍳🍴
Lucky they managed to snap some before photos of the goodies… because by the time I got my camera out, those plates were EMPTY! 😂👏
Hi wonderful Community Cuppa Folks! A quick MVNS update for you 📣 unfortunately @mnclegalcentre won’t be able to make tomorrow but they will be back before the end of the month. FORTUNATELY…the lovely Charlie and Mia (pictured above) Nutrition students from Griffith Uni will be coming along to share some delicious brownie, muffins and healthy recipe and information for us all to enjoy 😋
